Will the Big 10 and PAC 12 change their minds?

In the weird year of 2020, would it shock anyone if Big 10 and PAC 12 magically have "better information" and bring back the season?

The SEC is putting some big pressure on them to do so, as this will be some major negative recruiting on the Big 10 and PAC 12 moving forward. Why would any player go to those conferences if they will cancel so easily?

Imagine all of the $$$ they're about to lose on. Most will have to take out loans to cover their expenses for the year.

I don't think so. It's too late in the game to flipflop. They won't do it to save face.

The Pac-12 is done. The Arizona schools, Utah, and Colorado need to hit up the Big 12 ASAP. If they can get Nebraska and maybe CSU or hell even Iowa to join, they’ll have the first 16 team conference.

I doubt they will. There is so much politics involved that it would be a huge embarrassment to reverse course so soon.

Vandy is about to get some 5-star recruits if they continue with the cancellation.

Oregon and Washington are the only schools out there who are even remotely interested in football right now. It's sad.

They wont, it'll make them look bad. But, I bet you they regret cancelling in the first place.

No because of the states they are in will not allow it to happen. This is not always just about the schools. Think about it...say a team from lets say WA goes into CA and who knows what the quarantine they may be placed under...well there goes 2 more games.

I think it’s more likely that everyone will end up cancelling once classes start

There's nothing magical about it.

When it's safe to play football again, we'll play football again.

The PAC 12 financially meh right now - some programs couldn’t even afford the testing without making cuts. And PAC 12 college football doesn’t resonate the same exact way in the region as Big 10 Football does in Ohio and Pennsylvania. Obviously the politics of the region are even more blue than the Midwest.

The Big 10 actually has the equity to turn course, but politics won’t allow it.

These players have about as much of a chance of having an asteroid fall and hit them on the head as they do getting sick and dying of Covid.

Its safe now, Karen.

I guess we're never playing football again then because football is not a safe sport by any means.

But lets cancel the season for a virus that isn't going to do anything to these guys. Concussions and CTE? Eh, not a big deal.

You're borderline retarded if you think "getting sick and dying" is the only negative outcome.

Ignorance like this is why we're still dealing with this thing in the first place.

I bet you love making Facebook memes about COVID-19 vs car accidents.
