Kurt Warner lost QB jobs in his prime to Marc bulger, Matt Leinart & Eli manning

Don’t care what they each did in SB year. All that is relevant is that they each won one.

People seem to forget his Giants year when he was total trash, and his first 2 cardinals years

One of the stupidest takes I have seen. Totally giving QB credit for the team.

The point is Warner won the game for his team and Wilson won because of his team.

Most of Wilson's success is due to the team around him. He never elevated anyone around him.

ETA: QBs get too much credit either way, but Warner meant more to his team during the SB win than Wilson did if the only thing that matters is they both won one.

Do y’all not realize Russel Wilson has the 4th best passer rating of all time? Just because a dude drops off a cliff and plays like shite doesn’t take away what he’s done. Yes he’s in.

Was literally coming to post this.

Warner had a DOGSHIT middle of his career and got in.

Warner has an amazing story and his individual high is higher than Russ ever had. MVPs vs no MVP votes. You win two MVPs you're in. The resurgence in Arizona basically erased the very shitty middle.

Eli also was shitty as frick for many years and will get in and shouldn't.

Yeah but he's a Manning and he did it in New York. Sportswriters can't wait to cum their pants seeing Peyton put Eli's blazers on.

And DeShaun Watson is 3rd, so what?

According to that stat, Wilson is better than Brady, Young and Manning. Get out of here.

He’ll be over 400 TD’s, with the 4th best passer rating of all time and a SB. He’s in, weather you like him or not.

I absolutely think he will be in, but in no way think he is among the best QBs in history (not even close to #4 despite this stat). He is a game manager, which worked when he was with Seattle. But he isn't a player who makes his teammates better like others on the list.

Deshaun Watson is 3rd
Jimmy Garoppolo is 6th
Kirk Cousins is 7th
Dak Prescott is 9th

In the modern era that’s not a metric that helps his case. Any others come to mind?

0 First Team All-Pro
1 Second Team All-Pro
1 ring won by the Legion of Boom and Lynch
1 ring lost due to a horrendous INT

He may get in, but in a just world someone couldn’t be 6th or 7th best at his position during the prime of his career and have a legit claim to Canton. His tenure with DEN further cements it

Zero all pros.

All pros weigh heavily.

Warner has MVPs and All Pros.

That is what weighs heavily in Canton voting.

Warner was also the head of the greatest or one of the greatest offenses in history.

I am not saying Kurt Warner wasn't good. Iam saying don't give me the speech about how Russell Wilson suddenly falling off is going to prevent him from the HOF.

From 2002-2006 (5 seasons) Kurt Warner threw a combined 27 TDs & 30 INTs

Russ has been consistently good his whole career.

This is the operative word…….yes Russ has been GOOD. Russ was never really great, like those in the media pumped him up to be.

Warner was truly great for a time, was Warner’s great period long enough to get in? I think it was borderline, just like I think it’s borderline for Russ as well. But that’s the difference between them……Russ was very good but never really great.

You are absolutely correct about Warner’s middle though……it was terrible lol

I really don’t understand all the hate Wilson gets. He was pretty damn good in Seattle.
