This era of throwing the ball 40-50 times a game is gonna get everybody in according to the stats.

That actually hurts the first wave of people.

Look at the WRs struggling to get in the hall from the WR boom of the 90s

I know passer rating isn't the best stat, but his career 81.2 rating in today's NFL is laughable for a HOF QB. shite that would have ranked 26th in the NFL last season behind greats like Matt Cassell and Ryan Fitzpatrick.

He'll get in because of his last name and because voters don't understand super bowls are a team accomplishment. He sure as hell shouldn't get in based on his regular season performance. He's basically this generations Vinny Testaverde, except his teams got hot when they made the playoffs.

If Eli gets in does that mean Rivers gets in too? Drafted same year. Similar stats. Rivers didn't become the starter till year 3 compared to Eli in year 2. Rating of 96 compared to mannings 81.2.

So then you're saying no one will make that argument once he's elected?

If may be laughable to you, but there will be people that will try to make the case.

Probably not. Which is ridiculous since Rivers has been so much better than Eli.

You already mentioned rating, but also

Yards per game - Rivers 245 Eli 231
TD per game - Rivers 1.67 Eli 1.49
INT per game - Rivers .78 Eli 1.11
Comp % - Rivers 64.6% Eli 58.5%
Yards per att - Rivers 7.9 Eli 7.1
Win % - Rivers 62% Eli 56%

Rivers 5 pro bowls, Eli 3 pro bowls

How come every fan knows that counting Super Bowls is laughable but the guys who actually vote for this don't?
