Thoughts:
Love Brees for what he’s done for the Saints, Nola and all of La, but this was a poorly worded response. Maybe the question caught him off guard so he reverted to his 2016 answer (which obviously didn’t cause nearly the same uproar) This will def fan the flames for those who perceive Brees with that “Advocare” vibe
I think the kneeling is pointless, and all his teammates melting about it, what have they done? I’ve seen Michael Thomas make some moves in the community and I know Cam Jordan and Davis are great guys, but with that kind of platform and assets, to everyone who wants to suddenly turn on him, do something, like actually DO SOMETHING with your resources to help make a change, the kneeling hasn’t changed a damn thing.
ITS NEVER BEEN ABOUT THE FLAG (again, the kneeling is dumb but it’s inevitably linked to the flag because of the anthem)
So many athletes of all shapes sizes and colors are dumb. Passive aggressive social comments seem much more important to them than effective action. Do something with your millions of dollars that your millions of followers can see. Im not talking badic good deeds or community service, put your time and resources towards structural societal improvement. Or just kneel during a retarded pregame song.
