“what did he do the week after the Chiefs game”
Now apply this standard universally, I guess Barry Sanders isn’t a HOFer either. Gotta be careful with specifically targeted standards, they usually make you look like a fool.

lol you’re trying to criticize him being on pace for 1,990 yards by dancing around it and refusing to acknowledge it. “If that were true” should be your username
On pace for 1990 yards in 2017?
on how many fricking rushing attempts? 470?

I’m not going to keep correcting you when you’re intentionally being dishonest. Stop

You’re the fricking moron who said he was a top RB because of 1 playoff game. Thats your standard you fricking idiot.
Barry Sanders lead the league in Rushing 4 times.
He averaged 5 yards a carry over a 10 year career.
He is is 4th all time in rushing yards.

He will go in. A lot of it will be because he’s the last so called great one we may see… he is nowhere near the best ever, but he has been very steady over his whole career.

you replied to a post where i was talking about 2017 and you then pulled a number out of your arse.
Don’t get on your high horse when i don’t know wtf you’re talking about.

RB is such a weird position in the NFL. You almost need it to be a random guy who ends up on a good team. Say Gibbs keeps having years where he has 800 rushing yards and 600 receiving. The lions keep making it to the playoffs and....I'll say it win a Super Bowl. He's done after 10 years with 8,000 career rushing and 6,000 career receiving.
He'll end up with stats around Roger Craig..... he's not in the HOF. But in this modern era it's up there with the best.
Fun discussion, maybe it comes down to big moments in playoff games.

He very well could be.

Stop your little BS game dude, you know I know better. You talked about the season he missed 9 games so pretending you weren’t or “don’t know wtf I’m talking about” is just more deflective dishonesty.

I talked about that season because his team went 6-2 with him and 6-3 without him. He wasn’t dragging them to the playofffs.
But change the year and my point still stands.
He was on pace for 1990 yards rushing on 465 attempts. he was averaging 27+ attempts per game. There is literally no way he could have sustained that.
no one has aver averages 27 attempts per game over the course of a season.

It really is. Jerome Bettis is a HOFer because of his post 30 career when he was well past his prime but tacked on a few extra stats and won a SB. But there isn’t a universe where Bettis is better than Henry.
I also believe if the saints go to the SB in 2018 and Kamara plays any significant role in winning the SB, Kamara would be on the inside track for the HOF.
And if McCaffrey plays his career in San Fran from day 1 he’s a HOFer.

Your point? You haven’t made one
Posted on 9/26/24 at 3:31 pm to Madking
oh that saying he was on pace for a 1990 yard season is meaningless because he was carrying the ball at an unsustainable rate.
He was either going to break down (he did) or stop carrying the ball as much.
and my main point, which I did make and you ignored, wasn’t that he was bad before he got hurt, it was that they continued on without him and won 6 more games.
In fact he game back for the playoffs, carried the ball 20 times for 62 yards in a loss. so they were an even 6-3 with and 6-3 without him in 2021.
So the idea that he was dragging this team to the playoffs every year is silly.

1st game back after 9-10 weeks lmfao. What’s it going to take for you to acknowledge reality? I know the answer I’m just curious if you do. Look at who they played during his 8 games compared to without him. They were beating Super Bowl contenders, they beat the Super Bowl champs. Without him they beat a 10-7 49ers team with Jeff Wilson as their starting RB, and that’s it. The rest were scrubs.

Don’t talk to me about reality when you’re bringing up projected season stats. this is your fricking opinion.

They beat the Rams the week after he got hurt.
With him they beat the Bill and the Chiefs. They also beat the Chiefs during their 3-4 starts. They also held the chiefs to 3 points.
Without him the beat the Rams (The SB champs) and the 49ers.

lol are you saying Eli Mitchell is more important to the 49ers than Henry was to the Titans?
2 teams without their starting RB. Shouldn’t the terrible team being dragged by Henry lose?

No I didn’t say that at all so keep the straw men for another topic.

It’s fun to see how you’re a joke on every board.
So is the opposite true?
We’re the Titans a Better team without Henry than the 49ers were without Eli Mitchell.
Because that doesn’t sound like a bad team.

Mariotta is 8-17 without Henry. He’s 26-23 with him. Tannehill is 33-22 with Henry, 48-47 without Henry. You’re talking about a 15-20% increase in wins just with him in the field coupled with less than average QB play. Thats a 3-4 wins per year difference. Even Bmore this year had KC beat until they abandoned the run game then lost to KC. They lose again to Oakland, he’s a little more involved but same pattern. Then they feature him vs Dallas, Jackson only has 15 pass attempts, Henry carries 25 tikes for 156 and they dominate Dallas to get their first win. To any normal person it’s easy to see what he brings to the table but for you it’s always an alternate reality.

That’s right, continue your inverted reality and false statements because the truth makes you look like an idiot.
