He was good not great at Nebraska. Seems like he’s served his sentence for being a huge prick at this point.

He’s from Youngstown and seems to like it there. I bet he’s had a chance to move and decided to stay.

Youngstown has a great situation actually but in the wrong conference. The Dakotas coming in hurt them big.

You don’t think he’d leave Youngstown for Miami Ohio or some such job?

No I don’t think he would as he’s under the radar. He’s getting same type players as Miami. Youngstown Football has money not P5 money but it’s as good as MAC

Plus he’s not the guy who followed the guy

that was by choice- him and his wife are from Youngstown, he has 7 siblings a few still live there. His brother Carl, is his defensive Coordinator

He was also getting paid $128,900 a month by Nebraska, those payments didn't end until this year (march). So this might be his last season there.

If Mike Locksley can then he should.

On the Big10 Network, Glen Mason said Locksley was a "world class football coach". That's gotta be one of the dumbest statements a tv talking head has ever made

No, at least not yet...actually, you could make the argument he should be doing way better, his record is only 27-22 in 4 seasons. Youngstown St has great history and tradition going to 8 FCS championship games (79, 91, 92, 93, 94, 97, 99, 16). It’s an absolutely loaded region for high school talent with Cleveland, Columbus, Pittsburgh, Akron, Canton and Youngstown all less than 2 hrs away. If he can get Youngstown consistently rolling again, then yes he could make that jump, but I don’t think he’s currently a hot commodity.

He was good for 9 wins at Neb. That's really hard to do.

I thought he did a pretty good job in Nebraska. At that point, Nebraska’s ceiling was always going to be 3rd place in conference at best.

when you get those payments aren't they usually predicated on not taking another FBS head coaching job?

Usually they are just for taking a job in the same conference

He has said in interviews that he's not leaving. He's home.
