Why no AC/DC at any Super Bowl halftimes?

I’m not sure a 67 year old Angus Young fitting into a boarding school uniform is what gets the people going these days

I’d say a ton of people enjoyed this years halftime show compared to their usual choices and overall it was a pretty big success
Also they got shite on for years for bringing out 40 year old acts and safe pop acts for a decade following the Janet Jackson thing. Feels weird to clamor back for that era

A band like ac/dc, guns n roses, or metallica will never play the super bowl halftime show. Even though to me hard rock and metal fit football like a glove.
Its all about getting eyes on the product. Every super bowl party I've been too for as long as I can remember, all the men would be watching the game, while all the women sat in the kitchen and talked. When the halftime show would come on, the men would all get up and go in the kitchen for more food and beers, and the women would come watch the performance. It's about getting the eyes that ARENT there for the game

Yeah, I would love to see a Super Bowl halftime show that was AC/DC or Metallica doing a 15-20 minute greatest hits medley. But the Venn Diagram of people who want to see that and people who watch the NFL is a damn overlapping circle
