then they can pick teams for other reasons but when choosing soccer leagues the closest one resides in the US so the not local excuse doesn't fly here

Or they can not pick a team and simply watch a sport they enjoy watching. I don't even have a favorite MLS or BPL team. I still watch both.

No but a lot of soccer fans were watching soccer before MLS even began. They aren't going to stop being a fan of a team they have followed because the USA finally got a league.

And 95% of soccer fans - at least on the Soccer Board - follow multiple leagues.

Basically the MLS can't get their shite together to have the dominant league of the sport based in the US so we've got a bunch of American's who are confused.

By the way, it's not THE MLS. It's just MLS. THE MLS doesn't make any sense.

Honestly, doesn't bother me. They don't play each other and Euro teams are much more fun to watch
