Barry tried to get that home and home for years. Now that Saban agreed it tells me he's retiring soon.
Played at Happy Valley once that I recall. Other than that no interest in home and home with an OOC team.

Just make sure it has to be on campus games - none of this Michigan vs LSU at damned Jerry World nonsense.
UW vs LSU at Lambeau was pretty cool though. Even the Badger players liked that one.

SEC vs ACC- plays between 5-8 games each season
Kentucky v UL, UGA vs GA Tech, USCe vs Clemson and Florida vs Florida State are annual.
then Vandy vs Wake is fairly often
Chick fila Kickoff classic is usually ACC vs SEC (11 of the past 13 years) will have 2 SEC vs ACC games in 2020.
Then you have the normal home and home the teams do, this season A&M v Clemson, and North Carolina vs South Carolina.

In theory I really like this, but it won't work in football.
But I know Clemson would be a huge fan of this.

Sure. Once. If UW played a game a year over their the novelty would wear off.
It's gotten beyond old for LSU scheduling their half of home and homes with Texas stadiums. Enough already.

The fans won’t travel well for those games. Also doesn’t makes sense to go play in states your team doesn’t recruit in.

It’d be a great idea until Oklahoma, Clemson, Oregon, and Notre Dame all go undefeated and there is/are Big Ten / SEC teams whose only loss is the challenge game vs the best team in the other conference.

There are already several SEC bowl matchups with Big 10 teams.

That’s what I was gonna say—we get a lot of these matchups in the bowls. Granted, visiting opposing campuses would be nice, but I’m not sure it makes a whole lot of sense for a variety of reasons.

I’d 100% be down for this as long as it was home and hole series. No neutral site shite.
Going to the Midwest early in the season would be wonderful. Respite from the heat and a guaranteed win? Sign me up

Some schools like South Carolina UGA and UF already have rivalry games vs P5 opponents. I doubt they would want to be locked into something permanent with the already tough conference schedule then throwing on potentially up rivals with it.
Speaking from an Arkansas fan perspective too we would much rather rotate some P5 Texas opponents in there.

Big10 fans would support it cuz it would get them more exposure. SEC fans support it cuz it’s pretty much a victory.

Clemson this year has shown that in the new playoff system, you don't need a good OOC slate (or even a strong conference) to get in. You need to be undefeated and have name recognition.
It would be cool to see as a fan, but I want my team to win the title. More hard games hurts that. If Oregon doesn't lose to Auburn and instead has a win over Portland St, are they in over Oklahoma?

Play in the north in early September, play in the south in late October. Traditionally, the Big Ten schedule has been too rigid to allow this, but that would make it more enjoyable for the fanbases.

If Oregon doesn’t lose to cal and only has a loss to a top 10 ish auburn team, they are easily in over Oklahoma

Schedules are done too far in advance but they could set it up starting about 2030
Posted on 1/3/20 at 7:45 am to Muahahaha
They play like 4 bowl games against each other

I think you need to make a matchup for next year
Locations, teams etc.
You the man!

You can be flexible enough with schedules. I would want a big ten team to go down South in September and have an SEC team come North in November. That would make it actually interesting.
If it's only in September/October then I'm not interested. I'd rather see Michigan State play LSU in September in BR and then the next year see LSU come up to East Lansing in November.

Why would they abandon their annual SEC v. SoCon Challenge every November?
