If OSU wins out, they will be in the BCSNCG.

Its not hard to figure out what will happen. OSU has the highest SOS in the country. Bama and OSU could both have 1 loss. OSU will be conference champs while bama didn't even win their division.

Even in the context of college football, where supposedly every game matters or in the context of a playoff system their would not be a rematch.

Thats like saying a team that wins the NFC will play a team ins the NFC for the superbowl.

OSU will be more deserving. Espn is pushing the rematch big time and I would argue that if VT wins the conference with one loss that they go over bama as well. Who has bama beaten? How do we know they are even the second best team? Because they played lsu closer then anyone? Big 12 Is the tougher conference this year anyway and OSU lost in OT the week their coach died

Sorry gumps. Maybe next year

With PSU losing they will have 1 win against top 25 teams in next weeks poll. But ESPN will never mention that.

I was just about to post something about this....am I missing something? This is a great deal. Okie St. is one win away from a major contender to play LSU in the BCSNCG.

25% of voters might decide to put the 11-1 Big 12 champs in over a team that didn't win their division and already lost to LSU

This....I think enough voters might decide to put osu above bama to let the computers do their thing and put osu in over Alabama

you can laugh all you want, and maybe over all the SEC is better, but Alabama's SEC schedule is not nearly as tough as OSU's conference schedule. Bama didn't play UGA or USCe.

Does anyone outside the dirty south really want to see that game again?

I think osu gets the nod

Va Tech can spin this week if we win we are confirm champs and won more games than Bammer and beat every team we played. Though it took 2 games to beat Clemson

OSU lost on a Field Goal that could have been called good.

We've already seen the Bama-LSU game.

If OSU looks good vs Oklahoma things could change.

CBS graphic in the Iron Bowl hd OSU 25 and Bama 31. Stanford was 101 and I believe they had Va Tech at 53.

And GTFO with Virginia Tech. The ACC is GARBAGE and their best Non conference win is ARKANSAS STATE.

LSU is scurred.

In that case, using your standard of only judging 1 loss teams that did not not play based on their loss, Oklahoma with 1 loss to Texas, should have been in the BCS CG over Florida and gotten a rematch with presumptive Big XII Champ Texas. Imagine if Texas had beaten Texas Tech, you'd have the same scenario we have now with LSU and Bama. I suspect SEC fans would have screamed bloody murder if there was a rematch of Texas OU over a 1 loss SEC champ.

It's still a different year. OSU lost to a 5-5 team. Period. They beat aTm by 1. They beat KSU by a TD. The Big 12 has a higher ranking because of their non conference winning percentage, but what were their big non conference games? Exactly. Plus they played 3 non conference games with more patsies than the SEC/ACC/Big 10, so their non conference winning percentage is better. If OSU was undefeated or their 1 loss was to say OU it would be different, but they lost to a 4 TD underdog.

It comes down to Stanford and Virginia Tech. If Stanford wins tonight, I think it all but guarantees Alabama in the title game.

Even if they are only #5 in the polls and those between them and #3 don't lose?

I just can't see Stanford losing to ND, but it is possible that the voters could legitimately push OSU ahead of them in the polls and have a justified explanation.

But I just don't know if Clemson beats VT anymore. I didn't see VT's game today but they beat the crap out of a solid UVA team, and Clemson has struggled the last 2 weeks.
