They are 8-2 with losses coming to Clemson and... 6-4 Pitt.

And they have ZERO good wins. Not a single win over a ranked team.

Should they be ranked? Sure. But 12th?

What teams would you move ahead of them?

13 University of Florida 7-3
14 Penn State University 7-3
15 University of Texas 7-3
16 Iowa State University 6-3
17 University of Kentucky 7-3
18 University of Washington 7-3
19 University of Utah 7-3
20 Boston College 7-3
21 Mississippi State University 6-4
22 Northwestern University 6-4
23 Utah State University 9-1
24 University of Cincinnati9-1
25 Boise State University 8-2

People always look at these one off situations in such a vacuum

because college football is 2 great teams, a handful of good but flawed teams, and then a whole hell of a lot of meh.

They are the lowest ranked 2 loss P5 team. Which 3 loss team should be ahead of them? NC State is a good win. Compare their wins Utah State or Cincy. They are ranked right.

They are the lowest ranked 2 loss team in a P5 conference.

That’s how this work.
There are like 2 1 loss teams ranked lower than them.

Cincinnati. But everyone knows they have to keep the American teams ranked poorly so UCF cant have any good wins. Did the same with a 1 loss USF team last year. as well as memphis who they beat in the championship who was a 1 loss team with their only loss too.. you guessed it UCF...

Both teams went on to play very close games against Big 12 schools in bowls. going 1-1. And UCF beating SEC west Champion. So please tell me again why they dont deserve a chance???

Oh yeah thats right.. they have a weak schedule. Due to voters not voting in teams they play. end of story

Just have a hard time getting mad about this. If they were #16 instead of #12 would it really be any different?

They'll show if they are worthy or not the next 2 weeks.

Surely it's because Bama hasn't played anyone yet.

I wasn’t looking at them in a vacuum. I’d put Penn State and Florida above them for sure off the top of my head. Probably several others too but I haven't gone through everyone's resume.

But why is Syracuse ranked #12 and 9-1 Cincinnati ranked #24? Neither school has a good win and both have a bad loss.

That and they act like it’s some intrinsic ranking. #12 one year might be 2 losses this year, 3 another or even 1

Why is Kentucky at 17? 2-3 in their last 5 games with close wins over mighty Vanderbilt and Missouri.

They had Clemson on the ropes. Very close to 9-1.

Maybe they were right storming the field.
