Yeah no problems what he does with his life, just think he acts like a huge douche doing it.

Nobody rolls up a one dollar bill to snort anything other than cocaine or something more damaging. I don't think it's a huge deal but that's 100% what he was doing.

I don't think he's worth hating. He's a great athlete living a great life. In that sense we should be happy for him.

His response to criticism however? That sucks. He's showing zero leadership RE: the importance of putting winning first. Even if he can somehow balance the drinking, partying, and whoring with busting his butt in the film room and on the practice field many of his teammates will not. And this matters because they will emulate his behavior and many of them will fail to do as well as they could have with better team leadership.

Just an opinion and I'm sure the JFF fans will reflexively attack it for just being about hate or jealousy.

I think it was on SVP where they were talking about his comment, something like "I work 5 days a week, my weekend is when I need to unwind", or something like that. RR was like "nope, not in the NFL, this is a lifestyle if you want to make it, all day, every day".
Yea, Johnny Football should definitely take advice from Ryan Russillo on how to make it in the NFL.

He is a great athlete, but way too many times did I see him simply throwing up a prayer and get bailed out by Evans.

If he throws up prayers like that in the NFL, he is liable to get picked off a lot.

i think his issues are diffrent from todd marianvich but also similar. That should be someone he needs to talk to.
Someone like Michael Irvin was probaly worse then johnny but you can tell everything he did was to make it to canton. Not sure if he has that desire

Well for one thing he's called "Johnny Football"
To me, this is the biggest crime. It's a complete ripoff of Mattingly, aka "Donnie Baseball". I know he didn't self-apply the nickname, but it still pisses me off.

The accusations of jealousy are absurd. If that were the case, people would hate 90% of professional athletes. I just think the guy is too full of himself. The reset button has been hit, and he hasn't done a damn thing yet.

I guess it depends on how much you keep up with social media. That has got to be one of the key reasons he gets the hate he does. People will either get tired of seeing him go to these different places when he's just out on the town or they will get tired of others talking about him so much.

the guy is going to get his share of exposure. That's pretty clear. If he goes anywhere in his free time there is a good chance people are going to know about it.

it is pretty fricking stupid if you ask me.

not saying he isn't flawed or anything but I don't fault him for people being so sensitive and moaning and groaning about him doing the dollar sign on the field after a TD.

or about him being sent home from the Manning Passing Academy.

or getting caught with a rolled up dollar bill in the john at some club.

if people want to get all riled up for petty shite like that then more power to them.

Honestly, I think a lot of people just get Manziel fatigue. I can't even come to TD without seeing his stupid 12-year old face literally at the bottom of the page. He brings all the attention on himself, not for what he's done on the field, mind you, and I think many folks have just grown sick of it.

Agree.

it is up to them to follow through and just ignore his antics or just not let it bother them though.

it is the time of the year where there isn't much football news so the media will cling to a guy like him because he's so polarizing. They'll make up a story when there is nothing there really.

once football gets in full gear, what he did at some club in June will be a some random footnote.

but in the preseason he'll get talked about a lot. Once the regular season starts... not so much.

He isn't even the starting QB yet.

But he sure ran quickly to trademark the name.

I enjoy disliking him, in a sports context. I have people I respect and cheer for and people I dislike and cheer against-- based on their public persona. I can't "hate" an athlete or celebrity; I don't know them personally.

He's just a douche. Russell Wilson is young, rich and having a blast but I don't hate him because he's humble and doesn't act like an entitled prick. I think of JM as the Justin Beiber of football.

I don't hate him but this is how I feel. You can be young, rich and pull OT 9s all day every day without acting like a two year old.

He's getting better though...we'll see how he handles the pressures of being an NFL starter eventually.

I cant stand him because he is a spoiled and entitled punk, who was hyped to endless levels, yet he shite the bed twice against LSU. I just do not find him to be good enough on field to warrant that type of hype, like Tebow was. But at least Tebow tried and kept his mouth shut.

I met JFF at the Masters this year, he was with his dad and I guess a family friend. Long story short, he went out of his way to have a conversation with us and was overly friendly. He seemed genuinely interested to talk to us.

He was anything but a douchebag IRL but I certainly see how he comes off that way.

Right now could be the pinnacle of his career - he needs to live it up while he can.

Johnny is a spoiled rich kid who is about to be a super rich spoiled rich kid.

This guy's head is inflated. I can't hate the guy for the pussy he is getting though. Everyone in college should be getting their share.

I just see this guy as a failure in the NFL. Perhaps a bust like Ryan Leaf or David Klingler. High profile college kid that doesn't have the discipline or the want to to put in the hard work to focus his craft.

In fact, I can see Manziel crying and pointing fingers when his team loses. I don't see a leader in this guy unless he grows the frick up.

He has to drop his entitlement behavior. It can't be about him. It has to be about the team. It wouldn't surprise me if he is out of the league in 4 years.

Besides the Rice game last season, what did he do on the field that was douche like? I'm not saying he didn't, I just can't recall anything besides the 2013 Rice game when he got flagged after the extra point.

Yeah I don't really think he acts like a douche on the field nor do I necessarily think he'll be a flop. He may be, but I'm not certain.

I just wish everyone would take a moratorium on reporting shite he's doing until he actually does something.

Let's be honest. Most people hate him at this point due to jealousy. Not much else.

I actually expect the SOB to be successful in the NFL because he's just got too big a damned ego not to be.
