That clip ESPN showed was so awesome. The greek toga dudes looking like they're already panicking, and in the middle ole baw shows up like, "Calm your emotions. We got this."

That's the problem.
Agree with your statement, but 3PM kickoff on a Saturday is going to attract a hell of alot more people than 6PM on a Tuesday or Thursday.
It's what it is. I just wish it would have been more balanced out for us. That's all.

Midweek games are great for national exposure to the detriment of gameday atmosphere and attendance. I hope ESPN and the SBC work something out to where each team only has to sacrifice one home game to the gods instead of 3. I don't mind Cajuns playing in multiple weeknight games as long as it's only one at home and the rest away.
3 home midweek games are 3 less opportunities to get families, kids, casual fans on the cusp of buying in into the stadium. Less chances to build tradition and a better gameday experience. Some years we only have five home games, could you imagine only two of those being on Saturday?

They would wax LSU by double digits. Why you talking shite? You people are so insecure

Here's a metric that may shed some light:
Cajuns will have played a total of 1 Saturday afternoon/night home game in the last 22 games played.
If ESPN didn't move homecoming to 11 AM, that would have been 2.

I hear ya but College football has been played on Thursday nights for years. The sun belt is doing well to build a very competent conference.
Since the big east fell apart and the nfl started playing games on Thursday, the Thursday night slot has been pretty meh. Thursday night NFL games generally blow, the sun belt has an opportunity to show off quality programs in that slot.
I love the Tuesday/Wednesday games as viewer but I get why no one shows up

Yea it’s because the good time slots are all taken by big name teams. It’s better to play on national TV at bad slots than not at all.

I agree, it just sucks for the diehards that purchase tailgate spots and use it one time the whole year. Also makes it even harder getting the casuals to the stadium.

College football is broken, if you aren’t a part of the top 15 programs it’s virtually impossible to be considered to compete for a natty let alone win one, so what’s the point in being a fan? Like seriously? Why would anyone be a ULL fan? There’s literally no point
Louisiana Ranked #15 end of 2020 Season

You were ranked - that is correct. The statement was PROGRAMS, though - which implies that fanbase size and HISTORIC achievements often take trump card over any kind of a developing program.
This is not shade on UL - there is nothing they can do to cover for shite that happened before we were born.

shite, nothing we can do for the dumbass that was Ray Authement who tried to let athletics bleed and dry while he was President. At this point, we're just lucky to still have an athletic department.

They are busy at home typing up letters to send out when someone calls them UL-L or USL on national television.

The problem with that notion completely ignores the ebbs and flows of historical football programs success or lack thereof.
There’s countless modern “successful” football programs whom endured decades long stretches of irrelevancy only to regain prominence: LSU, Miami, FL State, Virginia Tech, etc.
Even Alabama went long periods of time between nattys of 20 and 13 years over its history.
So the idea that only 15 football programs can be considered relevant is a fallacy. There’s currently 44 different college football programs that claim at least one national championship.
Monopolizing college football to a finite number of programs will eventually lead to the same monopolization of college basketball.
Think most fans of collegiate sports would agree that’s a terrible idea.
