Avoid them like the plague. Their schedule would be legit if they had Clemson every year. Nobody would take shots at their schedule.

I don't know how people can really take shots at Notre Dame's schedule right now though. This upcoming season they play USC at home plus Georgia, Stanford and Michigan on the road.

If they joined the ACC as a full member and played Clemson every year, their schedule would probably still be weaker than it is now because they won't be playing 4 of the top teams from PAC/BIG/SEC all in the same year. Probably be 1 non-conference opponent like that, and 3 from combo of FBS, G5 or P5 bottom feeders.

Yeah they got left out because they didn’t even deserve to be on the damn bubble in the first place.

I kinda like how ND makes people angry. I'm all for exceptionalism and nonconformity in sports. It's what makes it chaotic and fun.

Well... as it concerns the ACC... they are.

The ACC are being played for fools by Notre Dame. Either full-time member or not a member.

Let it be known that I don't claim this Alabama fan.

All he does is complain and play the poor poor me card.

Also, he's a Laker fan

They want to play Michigan, Navy, Stanford and of course of USC every year.

They're not going to be able to do that if they had a full ACC schedule.

Both parties benefit by the current arrangement.

ND gets to be a part of, by far, the best basketball conference and the best conference for its non revenue sports.
ND is affiliated with a conference with great academics.
ND is affiliated with an east coast (vs Midwest for Big) where most of their alums are located.
ND gets the ACC bowl tie ins.

ACC gets ND football for 5 conference games per year (usually big TV games).

It doesn’t bother me.

I don’t think they’ll be a serious football power again, they can’t recruit well enough. But it’s good to have them in their other sports, like Lacrosse, or Basketball.
