I'm sitting here and one of the TVs has a WNBA game on.
Two things
1. Holy frick it's terrible basketball
2. I've seen bigger crowds for junior high basketball
This league exists 100% as a charity case

Because the NBA subsidizes it. If it had to stand on its own, I doubt it would survive.

The max a WNBA player can make is $106,000 per year I believe. I wonder if their per team yearly ticket sales equal that? Be interesting to know.
Also you'll never have it fold. Would be political apocalypse for the liberals. Some people out there rather lose money then admit capitalism rejects women's professional sports.
