They are playing awesome right now, but that shouldn't excuse the fact they lost to an OK Ole Miss team at home. I think the season will work its way out and if Bama wins out they will be in, but to have them #2 at this point is ludicrous.

I agree. Why is a one loss team to Ole Miss held in such high regard? If it was opposite before the game on saturday there is no way they would have had us in the top 4.

They are deserving of their ranking. They lost on a fluke play, why is everyone ignoring that? Yeah they turned the ball over 5 times. But they were also down a lot of points before Coker came in and lead the comeback. shite they are likely the best team in the country right now.

I agree. Why does the country feel like Bama beating the dog shite out of LSU was an accomplishment? LSU is mediocre.

Are they? All I know is that if this was another team in a different conference, people wouldn't just be glossing over the fact they lost to a 3-loss team.

They only lost by 1 score because of an illegal play. It should have been worse. But everyone that uses the "I watched the game and they were better" argument tends to forget that conveniently.

what mulligan? They lost early and have looked dominant ever since. Should they be ranked 15th just because of that loss? They've also beaten wisconsin, uga, arkansas, atm, ut, and lsu. Not all of those teams are that good of course, but it's not like they're beating up on vandy and kentucky.

Where should they be ranked IYO?

It doesn't matter. I really believe Oklahoma State or Baylor would route them. Alabama's dominating front 7 would be useless against a Big 12 team. And I don't think their secondary is that good. Something to the tune of 49-31.

No they didn't. They were down a few scores and made it look closer with an onside kick that took a good bounce and a prevent defense that didn't really try to stop them from scoring garbage TDs. They got thrown all over, their line couldn't block Ole Miss' pressure, and their QB certainly couldn't handle the pressure.

Nobody's ignoring anything. They got beat all over the field. The turnovers weren't fluky and Alabama was very lucky to only lose by 1 score. 1 lucky play didn't win that game for Ole Miss.

Fair or not, Alabama and Ohio State play by a different set of rules in the eyes of the media. For the other 118 schools, the rankings are based on their resume. For those two, the rankings are based on the eye test.

As an LSU fan it is just disappointing we couldn't end their hopes Saturday night.

Hope we get a chance to test that theory, but the Big XII is so weak they may not get anybody in.

Ole Miss deserved to beat Bama. They were a dropped INT in 4th quarter from winning by 14-21 points.

Good for them on not giving up that game and making the final score respectable, but they were down three scores with about 6 minutes. You act like this was like kick 6 a couple of years ago.

That is the definition of a mulligan. Hit a drive out of bounds and then hit the next one straight down the middle. Only problem, is that in real golf the first shot counts and you get penalized for it. Bama isn't getting penalized at all for losing.
