He is somewhat deserving of the praise, How many D-league players have that kind of impact on a team? If people would not listen to all the media hype, and just watch him play, all the superstar talk would die down alot.

Exactly my point.

He's had 1 bad game out of 12

He has some blemishes on those "good games". He has the most turnovers in history for the span of games he has played significant minutes, and obviously the Miami game was bad, but the Minnesota game where he scored 20 points and had 8 assists, it took him 24 shots on 33% shooting, and he turned the ball over 6 times. I don't call that a "good" game. So at least 2 games that i would not consider good.

ETA: Add in the Hornets game where he was 8-18 from the field, with 5 assists and 9 TO's.

Because this thread is racist/stereotypical?

Let me respond for you, "Oh its racist because I group all AA together and assume the 1-2 I'm thinking about represent ALL of "them"? yes

Nobody should hate any player for what the media uncontrollably creates of them.

Lin has done nothing but play basketball. He hasn't been a Diva in the media, hasn't made stupid comments. Hate ESPN, not Jeremy Lin.

I don't think they do with him - he seems like he's a shooting guard to me

Im black and I've always liked Lin since I seen him in the summer league 2 years ago. But you can mark me down as an AA poster that hates LeBron.

I don't hate him but I am tired of hearing about him. For the record I'm also tired of hearing about Romney and Santorum too.

quit cherry picking stats. Playing pg, you going to have games where you shoot 33% or even less.

Kobe, one of the best in the league. His last 12 games, he had 4 where he shot less than 33%.

.471% for the season for a PG is pretty stout. Especially for a kid that is making around NBA minimum salary.

most importantly of all they are 9-3 with him starting. Even winning games without some of their star players.

They had lost 11 of 13 games leading up to Linsanity.

he basically saved their seasons. 6 turnovers a game and all.

This. And he finally made the Knicks relevant again. Melo didn't even do that.

What causes you to believe this? I'm Black and I like the story. Are there some Fuzzy Zoellers among us?

I am Afican American and watched Lin since he played again Yale while at Harvard, went to watch him with my wife who is Japanese American when the Knicks came to Minneapolis about two weeks ago, and we are waiting on a Lin jersey for my son who currently sports Ricky Rubio and Kevin Love jerseys(he also has a Beasley jersey).
