growing up where I grew up, all the kids that got their asses whooped all the time and were huge mommas boys were duke fans, so that's who i associate duke fans with. i never liked duke.

I hate Duke because the media blows up Coach K to be some kind of demigod, when really he is just a whiny little bitch who dirty recruits like the rest of the college basketball coaches.
And Shaq should have made the Dream Team ahead of Christian Laetner.

Dickie V is as much a cheerleader for UNC as Duke. He is generally a huge homer for the ACC and traditional East Coast basketball powers yet he only gets called out for liking Duke.

It's because they are rich white kids. Georgetown is the same, but Georgetown's coach said he saw no need to recruit white players.

John Thompson just didn't give scholarships to white players after the 1970s, even if they were good enough to be Hoyas.

nah, Laetner was a better college player, if you are not going to take the best college player, it should have been Isiah Thomas or D. Wilkins.

people hated Thompson and G Town back then, but after 89 or so, they basically disappeared, Duke never went away.
