Why do networks show brutal slo-mo injury replays

Alan Hurns is writhing in pain while laying on his stomach and his left shoe is pointing at the ceiling.

So Fox then says... Hey... Let's show this in close up slo-mo!!

Bunch of squeamish nancies up in here. Closed wound, no blood. Refusing to show it in slow mo won't make the pain go away or heal faster. It was interesting, and I'm sure they didn't know the extent before the replay.

Instant replay was pretty instant. I don't think they had time to review it

They showed it one time...probably didn’t know what had happened yet. After that, they didn’t show it. The announcers went out of their way to say they wouldn’t show it again.
There, was that difficult?
