He would have fit fine being the 1a or 1b guy, but being the 3rd guy, there were no carries for him. You can't give him the ball 4x a game and expect him to play well

He can't block and he can't catch. Any snap given to him removed Drew entirely from the play.

He can catch. Especially with the way they use Ingram in the passing game. He isn't a natural pass catcher. 99% of his catches are swing passes acting like an extended handoff, a dump off, or a screen pass. Any RB can do that. Peterson could, because he's done it before

I agree, have never said otherwise. Peterson was signed to be 1B, though. It could have worked. People are having a hard time understanding why it didn't. It wasn't because he doesn't fit the offense.

His skill set didn't fit the Saints offensive system, which is why it was dumb signing him in the first place. The offensive system is a major factor on how successful some RB's are.

I will when you explain to me how AD was good at catching passes out of the backfield. The Saints rely on their RB's to catch the ball out of the backfield. You weren't going to teach a 32 year old RB how to do that.

He has had just as many 40 reception years as AD has, and he hasn't been the bellcow that AD has been. Who has AD had to compete with in his career? Nobody, so those 40 receptions were the only receptions to RB's that year. Just this last year Brees had 124 completions to RB's.

The only reason it didn’t work it because Kamara is a hoss. They definitely had a different idea on how they’d use AP, which is why the signed him. But, AK happened. No doubt Peterson could do damage in the Saints offense, though
