Kelly EMBARRASSED ND when, because of a schedule of lightweights

Exlain how you think they made the playoffs this year..... they beat a 2 loss UGA with Freshman qb making his 1st start ever.

Kelly has also made a semi final playoff game.

2 Texas Bowls in 3 years - so there's that

Don't forget that's after taking over a .500 2020 and losing season in 2021. Wheb Kelly was hired lsu didn't have a 2 deep roster on scholarship. You Kelly haters love to leave those little details out and act like he took over a good lsu roster.

By doing the same thing Kelly did at ND? If Freeman wins it all, then yes, he will be better.

Isn’t the whole reason BK left was because he couldn’t recruit the players needed to beat top tier SEC teams?

It's also a very different thing when your SOS is in the 40 and 50's compared to top 10 like lsu.

ND has beaten two teams that LSU lost to this year. And has now beaten two top 10 team in a row.

we are judging Kelley and Freeman at year 3 than i think Freeman has him beat and at a cheaper price tag

Kelly took over a shite lsu having .500 and losing seasons with 39 scholarship players

Freeman took over a top 5 program that kelly built.

Why do you Kelly haters leave out those huge facts?

And still has a sos in the 40's while lsu is 12th. Lsu literally almost has 4 times the strength of schedule of ND. It's easy to get up for games when you play 2 teams worth a frick.

People who have not played any sports in their life related everything to coaches but those who have played any sports know it is players and talent you have who win the games. Isn't Smart the same coach you were praising in the last 5 years?

What? Who said talent didn't matter?
Who bashed smart?

They’re not great imo. They always have pros on OL and TE because Catholics are oddly good at those positions. They have a Safety that’s a high draft pick. Loves a solid back which they have had solid backs.

But their skill isn’t great. Hell, Jordan Clark starts at CB for them, the tiny 3-Star corner from Baton Rouge. They played a marshall transfer and northwestern transfer today too.

UGA was down this year especially with an inexperienced QB. ND snuck out of Texas 8-4 with a close win back when they were playing Weigman. Otherwise they really didn’t beat anyone. Beat USC late in the year when they were down and on a backup QB.

The truth is Notre Dame has a cake path every year. The reason this thread even exists is because they beat a down UGA team. Otherwise, they haven’t don’t anything special this season.

Freeman is all of the sudden proven better than Kelly because he got ND to the same exact point Kelly had them when he took over.
Kelly never won his way by beating an actual top team

In fact, did he ever beat a top 5 team while there?

That’s fine but SOS doesn’t really matter when you lose games against the good teams and some against teams that aren’t so good.

And there are people on here that would say LSU has the edge over ND if they were to play because LSU is “battle tested”

I'm pretty sure ND was top 5 prior to his hiring.....

I'm pretty sure 2 CFP victories are better than BK's 0-2 CFP blowout losses to Bama.

Kelly been coaching D1 like 20 years.. 0 -2 in CFP

Freeman been a HC 3 years and no training wheel jobs and is 2-0 .

Kelly isnt a bad coach and neither is Freeman.
Since ND has won 2 games there is 288 excuses as to why they won lol

Tell me, honestly, that right now you think you've got the better coach. I mean two Texas Bowls in 3 years - what's not to love?

ND needed the refs, several fluke plays and a hurt starting QB to beat the worst UGA team in 10 years.

And here LSU is losing to backup QB’s instead of beating them… which one is better?
