Regardless of who your team is, we can all agree Team A has the better resume.

Slightly but not overwhelmingly. Marginal difference matter not that expect someone like you to understand what that

You are also misrepresenting Texas SOS, dishonesty shows you have an agenda. Texas beat KSU who is ranked yet you keep saying they are not. If they win the CCG they will beat Ok St who is also ranked. Thats 3 ranked wins vs 4 which counts Tennessee who has no reason to be ranked aside from fluffing Bama and UGAs schedule.

The SEC is overall better than the Big 12 but it does vary based on schedule since teams don’t play every one in the conference. The gap between those 2 is not as large as the gap from the Big 12 to the Sun Belt. The score from last years NCG is irrelevant. It was not “SEC vs Big 12” it was Georgia vs TCU.

KSU is not ranked in the coaches or AP poll. We will see about the new CFP rankings when they come out.

Please keep reminding us about the last time we let a Big 12 weenie into the playoffs.

Neither is Tennessee, they are the first 2 teams in others receiving votes

Tennessee is 21st in the last CFP rankings, 23rd in the coaches, 26th in the AP.

And Kansas St is 19 in the playoff and 20 in the coaches. Quit cherry picking 1 team and ignoring the other to fit your agenda

Kansas St fell out of the coaches and AP poll this week. We will see if they hang on in the CFP rankings.

So OU over Texas.

Well, if OU only had one loss, then yes. But they don’t and you already know that.

Why are you looking at the games outside the head to head and allowing those games to impact your ranking?

Oh, my bad. Apparently, I’m arguing with a disingenuous dumbass. You’re the one that brought up OU, not me.

You can’t bring yourself to say “because the full resume matters.”

That’s ok. We all know you believe it.

I agree the full resume matters. And Alabama’s resume has a loss to Texas. Texas’s resume does not have a loss to Alabama. OU’s resume has a win over Texas, but they also have two losses.

Everything else on the resume is based on subjective rankings and the usual “eye test” that always seems to favor Alabama. So, since both teams have the same number of losses and both teams have actually played, I am going to give the nod to the team that won on the road against the other team.

According to your methodology, 11-1 James Madison should be ranked higher than LSU, PSU, Ole Miss, OU, and many others. Because hey, they only have one loss, and all those other teams have more than one loss.

We all know James Madison isn’t a top 10 team in the country.

Explain to us what’s a marginal difference and a significant one when talking about top 25 wins.

I posted in another thread but I’ll say it again. I would give this argument some merit if Bama had lost at Texas in OT or a late field goal. However, Bama lost AT HOME, by double digits, in a game they were dominated in. Texas had 100 more yards, more first downs, TOP and created more turnovers. They were the better team. Also, what recently shows anyone that Bama is a better team now than Texas? Is it the way Bama needed an absolute miracle fluke to beat an Auburn team that the week before got beat 38-10 by New Mexico State? They aren’t, and shouldn’t jump Texas if both win Saturday
