lake show doing it bc LeBron age and west wide open now
Lakers are fools if they take him. Lebrun way past his prime and an injury waiting to happen. Should trade Lebron for Davis anything

Yeah, this one is a real mystery. Strange how NBA teams want to acquire really talented players.
To be fair, didnt the lakers acquire a VERY talented player last year? Lemme guess, that was different.
The OP has a legit point which is proven thru Lebrons bitch arse move.
If you empty the cupboard of talent and pics, you lose in the long run.
If your position was fact, why didnt New Orleans win it all with Davis there? Or is it that he alone, cant win shite. Hes not a guard creating and handling the ball. Hes a big. Hell get his 20+ and 10...so what?

Also ig AD would stay in NO, a yop guard (maybe Kyrie type) would love to xome in and play with AD and Zion.

Top 5.
The guy is a game changer.
ETA:
Guy didn't give a shite this season and still had the 3rd best PER in the league (30.42) behind Giannis and Harden.
And averaged 26/12/4.
He's a fricking stud.

players are going to continue this though so we need to get used to it

Add him to LeBron, who creates and handles and you have two top five players who don't duplicate each other.
Reduced to the basic question, you don't understand why the Lakers would like to acquire a player who consistently grades top five in the league?
Saying the Lakers acquired a very talented guy last year and didn't win...well, that's why you'd want another talented guy. Really good players help you win games.
In terms of the long run, AD just turned 26. Teams are looking to acquire him because he has 6 more prime years left.

He and AD’s stats were very similar, actually.
Yep - we all remember the 2 top 5 and 2 top 10 finishes in the DPOY voting that Kevin Love had in his first 7 seasons right? You know? K Love... the defensive master? So similar to Anthony Davis.
You really are stupid if you think K Love and AD are similar players in any way other than they both play PF.
Posted on 6/13/19 at 12:21 pm to ShoeBang
Even beyond AD being light years ahead of Love on D, Love's highest PER was 26.9. Davis has already had 4 seasons above that.
Davis is better than Love in every measurable way except maybe outlet passing.

Did you actually go look at the stats or are you going to throw media votes around as if they mean something in the context of this argument?

Nobody said Davis wasn’t better than Love
I said Love’s stats his last year in Minny were similar to AD’s
Posted on 6/13/19 at 1:49 pm to slackster
That’s a $.30 profit, since he only plays half ($.50) of the time.

Some of y’all are going to melt pretty hard when AD lands in a bigger market with a competent front office and does well. Should be entertaining.
Well that rules out the knicks and lakers. Who’s left

Uhhh yeah
AD: 23.7 ppg, 10.5 Reb/g, 2.4 blk/g, 1.4 stl/g, 27.4 PER
KL: 18.3 ppg, 11.3 reb/g, .5 BLK/g, 0.7 stl/g, 21.9 PER
AD Wins
Win Shares (career):
AD: 72
KL: 78.2
AD played 191 less games. AD wins
============================
Again, arguing that AD and KL are the similar players is pretty dumb.

Haven’t done that
Also specified Love’s final year in Minny, which you ignored
You also left out VORP, BPM, W/S48, and TS%

Hard to judge. Davis has never played for a contender.

It isn't hard to judge at all.
Davis will never be the #1 guy on a championship level team, ever. Great player, but he needs someone to be the Alpha dog, and he's soft as charmin.

Look at the NBA today. The two best players in the league are generally thought to be KD and Lebron. Both are coming off serious injuries and Lebron especially is an older player.
I like Harden, Kawhi, and Steph but if you want to build a team AD or Giannis would be your safest options.
