What's that yellow county in Alabama? That many steelers fan in that county??

Probably some very small base sizes in rural counties. I see a saints stronghold in the steppes of southwest Texas.
Kind of interesting, the north slope of Alaska and Steelers fans. I assume this is from transplanted PA roughneks from decades back, who also converted the local eskimos.

A sizable portion of the Shreveport stations' broadcast area is outside the state. Ever hear the term Ark-La-Tex? Plus back in the day, going back to the 60s, the Cowboys were the more successful team. There have always been Saints fans and even a couple of exhibition games played there. I went to a game in state fair stadium against the Vikings around 1968 and am pretty sure there was one before that.

Wyoming supports the Broncos more than Colorado does

Good old KNOE had the Saints for years.
That's cause the Cowboys lived on Monday night football back then.

Good question like Jena,la. Which is it saints or cowboys since we had a guy play for the cowboys

Anything above Alexandria isn't really Louisiana, and that's being courteous to Alexandria

Cowboys fans are more widespread in every corner of this country than you probably think. They are a true national brand.

They have a bunch in north FL too. Which makes sense because they were always on TV and the Jags didn't exist until 95.

Why are there so many Cowboys fans in Louisiana?
It's not that there are so many, it's that they're especially loud and obnoxious, so you notice them more.

Louisiana is really only the area south of I-10 and East of Lake Charles

The Redskins strongly opposed a new franchise in Texas because they were worried about losing fans. The Washington Redskins had the southern most franchise at the time and had fans throughout the South. People is Louisiana would naturally choose the Cowboys as their NFL team in 1960.
The Cowboys gained popularity in the 60’s across a wide region of the U.S. because they were not only the closest NFL team, but they started to win. By the time the Falcons & Saints entered the league in 1966/67, the Cowboys were playing the Packers in the NFL Championship.
The Cowboys had enough time to establish a firm foothold throughout the region well beyond Louisiana before the Saints ever played a game

Id love to see the results of a Saints pre 09 trivia quiz administered to the resident board "die hards."
If you jumped on the Boys bandwagon during their dynastic run and have stuck with them since, you have paid your dues in full.
