Why was he playing so shallow when it was just the tying run on 2nd? It’s not like a single loses you the series. But anything over his head would have both tied the game and put the series winning run on 3rd with 1 out with a triple.

How isn’t it? If that ball doesn’t get stuck… that’s a run and probably a triple…. 3-2 with a runner on third and no outs. Completely different game.

2nd and 3rd no outs. First swing weak pop up to 1st, then you get doubled up on a fly out to short left. Jesus Christ what an all time World Series frick up.

Stuck ball call was terrible - should have reversed it and given them a triple and a run. Ball could have easily been picked up.

Yeah. I’m not sure what he was thinking. That was obviously a very catchable ball and he just stood there staring at him after he caught it…. shite at bat before that… bad sequence of events there.
