I say the Browns are the worst NFL team of all time! I have a huge feeling about the final game and the Browns will lose and be out of the playoff once again!

Rick Venturi at Northwestern
1-31-1

Chris Scelfo.
Tulane's 1999 offense returned 8 starters and another 7 starters on defense and their Redshirt Sophomore QB would go on to be an NFL 1st Round Pick, however, Chris Scelfo would mustard a 3-9 record against a very weak schedule with them.

Watson Brown was 136-211-1 as a collegiate head coach. No coach in the history of college football has more losses than him. That record also includes a brief five season stint at Vanderbilt where he went 10-45.

Putting in my vote for Mike Locksley.

Curley went 10-2 at Southern Miss one year and was a .500 coach at 39-39. Nowhere near the worst of all time.
You’re right but remember who had winning him all those games at Southern Miss. I still blame Brett for the 90s.

Jerry Baldwin coached at UL-L from 99-01 with a incredible record of 6-27. He filed a lawsuit when he was fired on the premises of racial discrimination. Finally in 2018, a state district judge Dismissed the charges citing;
ETA: Some scars are still felt from those years in the Athletic Department.

UL-Lafayette has said Baldwin was fired because of his poor overall record, a decline in football attendance and revenue and flagging community support for the struggling football program

Find a coach at a school with more resources who failed miserably. Like, say, Cam Cameron who was utter arse at the NCAA and NFL levels as a head coach.

This question begins and ends with Larry Porter at Memphis. Unbelievably bad.

Blake at Oklahoma was the first name that came to mind.
He had to be a complete imbecile to lose with all that talent.
Watson Brown was never at a football school and never had any talent.

JIm Shofner went 2-31 at TCU from 1974-76. Some of losses include Texas 81-16, Nebraska 56-14 and 64-10, and A&M 59-10 just to mention a few. In 1974, Texas scored more points(81) in the 1974 win over TCU than what TCU scored all season(79 points in 11 games). There was also a 20 game losing streak during his tenure. Shofner also went 1-6 as interim coach for the Browns in 1990, in which the Browns incurred one of the worst losses in franchise history. 58-14 to the Oilers.

quote:That isn’t credited to Ellis Johnson. He coached from the booth and we had one of our own players go back toward the end zone before we called timeout. He had nothing to do with that play and I’ve never heard a story stating otherwise.
He was also at Auburn and suggested they put a guy in the EZ on the Kick Six play.
Dude was arguably the worst DC Auburn has ever employed.
