This is the unfortunate truth. My issue with Tulane is more that they don’t admit more LA students. The university should be more of an asset for our state’s residents instead of a fall back option for rich Yankees.

But I do like Willie Fritz and frick Ole Miss.

Bruh, we’re talking about football. There’s a board for politics.

Is this 1980? You realize neither school really cares about the other except at the Med Center in NOLA and that is only about which night it is, TU or LSU.

You don’t think they reap benefits from the state in the form of tax exemptions or funding?

It would be the same thing as if a business got a tax break to build in NOLA and then brought all the employees from out of state. You’d like to think private entities and the community they’re in could have a mutually beneficial relationship.

From a purely football perspective, it would also help Tulane to actually have fans. If they don’t have LA alumni, they won’t have fans.

Tulane will lose by something like 60-30 and its fans will view it as a moral victory.

Not to mention it’s not a secret that:
Tulane is much more academically respected than LSU
LSU is much more athletically respected than Tulane

Neither school should have a problem with either of those statements
