Who would have gotten in the CFP under the BCS formula?

If they still keep those numbers.

I think it had FSU 3 and Bama 4

It had Alabama over Texas, which would have been only slightly less fricked up and hilarious.

That Twitter screenshot is incorrect.

It would have been

3 Texas
4 FSU
5 Alabama

They incorrectly flipped Texas and Alabama

I agree with this ranking more than the actual one.

Texas was better than Alabama early but not later. Alabama improved and beat better teams afterwards including the former number 1. The SEC was down this year, but it is still superior to the Big 12.

Head to head means more later in season than the 2nd week of the season.

Well that isn't what the BCS rankings would be. That post from the BCS account on twitter is the definition of fake news.

I wrote all the math out and you can see they simply put Alabama at 3 and Texas at 5 when those should be flipped because I got the same values they did for 3, 4, and 5.

This is (supposedly) how it would have worked out under the BCS.

Strangely enough, my Liberty Flames would still have finished in front of SMU for the top G5 bid.

Interesting.
