DWade has always seemingly gotten a pass for it. But he was an absolutely horrific 3-point shooter.

I was wondering if there were some famously poor shooters that went on to have long careers with their other contributions to the teams.

Ben Wallace was the first answer that came to mind.

almost 3 full pages but no mention of giannis. 2 MVPs and lead his team to a title despite being a poor shooter.

Joakim Noah

Absolutely horrible shooting there but it goes in more than it should.

Good follow through, I guess??

Look at the spin of the ball, for goodness sake. That’s an all-star NBA player?

I was going to say Bill Cartwright with the worst shooting form I remember as a kid. But he was a career .525.

Dude shot free throws like a little kid learning how to throw a ball.

AI took high percentage shots and missed a lot of those. He took low percentage shots and mid percentage shots, too. He took shot after shot after shot. Hie was a career 31% shooter from three point range, but still took nearly four three pointers per game. He couldn’t help himself.

Kidd developed a jump shot and still had a putrid shooting percentage of 40% and shot 34% from three. He had a good career, but he was a bad shooter.
