Settle an argument with a friend.
I say Pedro.
I say Pedro.

I would take Pedro, but couldn't argue too much against Nolan. With both of them in their Prime and on their A game, it would be a coin flip of who to take. I mean Nolan has 7 no-hitters and Pedro doesn't have one.

Boston Pedro was absolutely dominate.
I will go with Pedro, but I wasn't around for most of Nolan career.

Pedro's peak >>>>> Nolan's peak
Easily
Easily

I'd take the one with the most all time strikeouts
Although Pedro's peak could be the best peak ever.

Nolan Ryan sells Nolan Ryan's All-Natural Texas Beef at Kroger.
So I'll go with him.
So I'll go with him.

Pedro. Ryan was a walk machine. Pedro was consistently dominant.

Pedro Martinez pretty easily.

Helps when you play for 27 years, not a knock on him, because playing that damn long is impressive. Just saying.

That. Not even close.
Now if you consider longevity and the whole career, I imagine a case could be made for Nolan, but 1999-2000 Pedro was probably the greatest pitcher ever.

Pedro, but Nolan pitched for 27 years and thats no small accomplishment.

Pedro at his best was better than Nolan at his best.

Ryan's career counting # are better than Pedro's due to longevity, but they're in two different stratospheres when looking at ratio #s within individual seasons.

Pedro Martinez's 2000 season is likely the best pitching year of all time.
