Idc that he doesn't do it though. Just wondering why people don't acknowledge that Brady doesn't do anything...

Not every QB can be that decisive with the ball that quickly. It's a copycat league so if it were that easy they would all be doing it.

pretty much.

hopefully someone who thinks otherwise will acknowledge this and try and back it up with some credible explanation.

highly unlikely though.

Wait so the Patriots for the first time all season stopped doing presnap read motions and options? Goddamn you might be right that McDaniels is a genius to completely change his offense in 2 weeks.
Now I KNOW you/y'all are just fans of his and making any argument for him. You make him sound like Mariota. What amazing presnap reads. He turns them into mind blowing 4 foot passes

They just scored 28pts on the best defense in the league with no deep threat and you say the QB was not a factor?

Of course they use a lot of underneath routes to replace their running game but it isn't all underneath routes.

Granted Avril going out crippled the Seahawks pass rush and they don't like to blitz so Brady was clean the entire second half. Some of this was patriot scheme but a lot of it was Seattle not adjusting.

Yes. Nothing in this sentence helps anyone's argument about Brady being an above average QB. Btw, if that pisses anybody off we can very easily look at his playoff wins as a QB.

Yes it is. Watch Manning, AR, Luck, Brees, frick, even Wilson tonight. Watch them play QB. And dammit, I'm not a fan of all of them. Watch them and you'll see what a good QB does for his team. Brady doesn't do it. Doesn't have to.

I'm not trolling. I'll drop the thread if y'all think I'm trying to string y'all along.

Can nobody list the 4 best throws though?!

All of those guys you mention are more athletic than Brady that run with the ball and run they vertical offenses. You are comparing apples to donuts. Brady is a classic drop back passer.

Brady is the all time winningest QB in the playoffs, so he wins when it counts against the best. Sometimes playing QB is doing the right things and not getting your team beat. 4/6 and 3/4 SB MVPs means he did something right

Josh McDaniels made Matt Cassel seem like a good quarterback. That alone makes him a top 10 OC at bare minimum.

You're taking credit away from Brady for making great reads all game?
Holy frick!! No I'm not

80% of NFL QBs could have played QB for the Pats tonight.

Really?

That is what Brady does best. He's never made a bunch of flashy throws. We've had discussions like this 1000x about this.

For Manning getting all the credit for being the smartest QB in the game, I think it is easily Tom Brady. Manning, Brees, and Rodgers make way more wow throws, but Brady gets rid of the ball quickly and finds the open man without making many mistakes

Was he making reads on most of them though? It looked like set underneath get the ball out quick routes. Great gameplan by the Pats

That is always their gameplan. They also set up their formations well for presnap reads like sending Gronk in motion to the outside

Guess im with the OP. Think the graphic said the avg pass was 5.8yards and most of the throws looked wide open. I'd give a lot more credit to McDaniel's this game with the play calls he was making.

Brady made 4 above average NFL tosses....maybe. Why are teams so focused on QBs who make unbelievable throws every 6th throw? 80% of NFL QBs could have played QB for the Pats tonight.

Because it sounds like you don't understand football.

Yeah, the throws were short, but Brady still had to read the defense pre-snap to get an idea of pressure coming and coverages. This allowed him to quickly get rid of the ball so his skill players could do something with the ball.

Plus, you greatly underestimate his ability to manipulate the pocket and keep himself upright. Seattle was bringing the boom on pressure, but Brady was just a split second quicker than they were at pulling the trigger.

What other QB has gone 37-50 with 4 fricking TD's against that secondary?

Jesus y'all act like Brady is the only QB in the league who reads defenses. And are severely overestimating what he's doing when he does it.

That wasn't some understand the defense then play gets blown up but because he read the defense he quickly gets the ball out to save the play type stuff. THATS awesome QB play. Brady got the ball out quick because his throws were 5 feet past the LOS or behind it and already predetermined.

Oh wait, you're the same guy who thinks Brady isn't an all-time great quarterback.

Carry on.

Seattle runs a cover 3... Never mind, it'll just do over your head

Crazy how he's done it with different OCs
