Say the Bengals have the 3rd pick in the draft. The 2 teams ahead of them draft Trevor Lawrence and Justin Fields.

Do they go Penei Sewell or Jamarr Chase? Or someone else?

Having a top tier receiver might've changed the outcome tonight, plus Joe has great chemistry with Jamarr. However, Joe does you no good if he's on his arse all game. My vote is Penei.

Right tackle. Or literally any position on the o line.

I was actually thinking this myself.

It’s Sewell.

Chase would be huge for them but Sewell is a 20 year old Franchise OT.

Chase would have fought maybe 2-3 big plays tonight but you can’t let Joe get his 9 times a game.

Tbh Joe just needs to avoid getting seriously injured with that Line and gtfo after 3 years or however long his rookie contract is. I have zero confidence that the bengals will build anything of significance around him.

They need an OL and people who can tackle.

Elite lineman are typically more reliable draft picks. They could focus on the line and rebuild it in probably a year with the draft and free agency.

They could drop AJ Green, draft Chase, and then sink tons of money into the OL.

Yeah heart says chase, but you have to go OL. At this rate, he won’t survive his rookie contract.

Trade Green and Mixon for draft pics. Trade down from 3 to 5—8. Pick up Chase ( no reviver goes top 5). Them use the extra picks to fill in at O line , Dline and late round RB. Pick up a free agent RB. 2022 focus on LBs and another receiver. Interior line in free agency.

Troy Aikman said tonight that the three players with the most missed tackles in the entire league last season were on Cincinnati’s defense

I think you go for that one elite OT if you can. Don't trade down.

Taking 10 hits including a couple brutal ones every week is unsustainable

They have to go OL

Period. As many as it takes.

They will probably be picking first and they should ransom Lawrence to the highest bidder.

And it is closer than you would think

I watched this game and Joe made 3-4 "Chase throws" the kind Chase would go up and get.

But he also took 9 shots and got stripped.

Sewell could be starting in the NFL now and he is 19. He wont turn 21 until a month into his Rookie year.

You’d have to take Sewell from Oregon and move Johan Williams to RT. 2 young, 1st round picks at OT is a good place to start to keep you #1 pick from getting killed every game.

Oh for sure. If any team with a franchise QB gets the 1st pick, you can get an absolute HAUL for TLaw.
