That doesn’t make it so.

The NOLA metro area extends all the way across Lake Pontchartrain? Who knew?

Every town doesn’t have to be a suburb of a metro area…you know, simple geography and shite

Ponchatoula’s debatable. Some say they’re a NOLA team, some don’t

Well Braydon Johnson was the NOLA Metro player of the year, so some think is. I am perfectly fine with our community not being associated in anyway with that shithole down there.

For those that are big in the Louisiana High School coaching community. Who are good young coaches out there?

I have confirmed that they are indeed looking to go younger and targeting Frank Monica (formerly at St. Charles Catholic).

Nobody wants you there at any point. People from your neck of the woods like to call Ponchatoula trashy, but it’s funny how half of St Bernard Parish settled there after Katrina and never left. That’s why there’s so many people barbecuing and boiling crawfish in the front yard now. But I don’t recall any stud players on that Ponchy team coming from transplant families, so the transplants contributed nothing to the cause.

What metro area would you put Amite and Kentwood in? It seems that you think that every village, town, or city belongs in a metro area.

I'm 25 and was born and raised in Ponchatoula but both of my parents grew up in New Orleans (my mom's dad was a geophysicist for Shell so they moved around a lot; eventually moving to New Orleans when she was around 10 I think) and settled in Ponchatoula in the mid-80s. Am I considered a native or a transplant?

You are native but your parents are transplants

Pretty sure WWL and other stations cover those two

Every village, town, and city has larger media coverage from somewhere “metro”

Cypress Trout is not Willie. Sauces can confirm.

But I'm hoping Willie is promoted.

Baton Rouge media covers the Saints…does that make New Orleans Baton Rouge metro? Dumb take.

Not you apparently.

This is the New Orleans metro area. Though you can see Ponchatoula is not included.

This is the New Orleans combined statistical area which Ponchatoula and Hammond are included.
