Yelich should win it easily at this point

Yelich has been great, he plays for the better team and he plays everyday, but Jacob deGrom has still been the best player in the NL . 8 IP 2 H 0 ER 0 BB 10 Ks last night.

Yelich will win because of bias against pitchers and playing on a shitty team, but if I had a vote it would be deGrom 1, Yelich 2.

I don’t even remember who the Marlins got back for him either. Marlins Man must be sick watching highlights of Stanton and Yellich every night.

Javy, and there should be little debate. The most complete and versatile player in the game today.

Javy is more complete than Mike Trout and Mookie Betts? A guy who is allergic to walking and has a .327 OBP.

Jeter really screwed up on their trades because he was "MUH, give me your #1 prospect or give me death". I'm pretty sure the guy that was the biggest in that trade heading to Miami is Lewis Brinson.

the haul for Yelich wasn't terrible on paper. They got three top 100 prospects. The Stanton was kind of laughable because of his contract.

Didn't they get Brian Anderson in the Yelich deal? He looks like a promising outfield prospect

No. It was Brinson, Isan Diaz, Monte Harrison and Jordan Yamamoto.

Voters reward big 2nd halves. Yelich's 2nd half has been insane. They typically don't weigh defense as much as offense. Defense is really the only place where Baez beats Yelich. RBIs are about even with Baez having a slight lead (around 6 RBIs on the season so it's not huge). Everything else favors Yelich on the offensive side and his defense is solid, not spectacular like Baez, but solid.

Then throw in two cycles against the same team which got a ton of attention. That sort of thing draws attention to him and those who weren't watching before saw that those weren't two fluke games.

Yeli leads the league in Avg, slug, and OPS 3 big stats. Prob top 5 in everything else along with 20 SB.
