Hopefully we actually get one where people vote for the actual best player and not the flashy, trendy QB on certain teams.
Honestly, I'd probably give it to Pennix. Washington was absolute dogshit last year. He's probably the most important player to any one team in CFB.

It will never be a DT, but I will say that it is a night and day difference in UGA's D when Jalen Carter is in vs not in.

You could say the same thing about Duggan, too. TCU could have 3 or 4 losses if not for some of the plays he made in the 2nd halves of games.
Penix is a good shout though. Everyone kind of laughed him off when Andre Ware called him the Heisman favorite at the beginning of the UCLA game, which they ended up losing. But his numbers compare pretty well next to Caleb Williams, and with one less game played.
