Williams on the otherhand can make every throw and doesn't need his legs, thus can't really be schemed against.
Yeah he can. You just play defense and watch him suck.

Here are some scouts and others who said, pre draft, they would select Daniels at No. 1

“Find me other people.”

Yeah, since they had no chance at Caleb. You can’t be this stupid

To be fair. Caleb Williams isn't a bad quarterback. He has shown some promise this year. He definitely looks better than Fields.
But JD is on another level. He is absolutely special.

They got who they wanted. You understand that correct?

Now, we don’t know if that’s true on draft night or not. We’ll never know because they can never be truthful about it

From the link ITT you’ve decided to ignore:
quote:
"I think he’s a superstar," one NFC quarterbacks coach said about Daniels while speaking with Sports Illustrated's Albert Breer. "I’m not alone on that. He’s a special athlete. He’s a special thrower of the football. He plays on time. So there’s the issue he doesn’t throw over the middle as much, but you watch him throw, it’s where it needs to be. Good feet. Good base. Based on the tape, I think he’s the best quarterback in the draft."
quote:
If I was picking, I would pick Jayden Daniels No. 1," an AFC scout told NFL Network insider Tom Pelissero. "Better athlete. I think he loves football more. I believe that he's just a better f---ing player. And I think he's on the rise and Caleb's kind of going lateral."
quote:
That scout isn't alone. On multiple occasions, ESPN analysts Louis Riddick and Dan Orlovsky have publicly said that Daniels is the best quarterback in his class.
quote:
Jayden has better wiring," an NFC scout told Pelissero. "And he's also done a better job throughout his college career of getting better. Who's to say he's not gonna keep getting better in the league?"
Everything you’ve posted so far is absolutely 100% false.
Good work, smooth brain.

Damn, figured the playoffs would be a good time to do this

Like I said, find someone with more than 12 sub stack subscribers or that idiot Ruiz that thinks Herbert is the best qb in the league
Louis Riddick also said Jayden Daniels was the best QB in the draft.
His bio:
quote:
After his playing career ended, Riddick became a pro scout for the Washington Redskins for four years before being promoted to Director of Pro Personnel. He was hired by the Philadelphia Eagles as a pro scout in 2008. He was promoted to Director of Pro Personnel on February 3, 2010.[7] Riddick later joined ESPN as an analyst.[8] In 2020, he became an announcer for ESPN's coverage of Monday Night Football.[9][2] Riddick has been interviewed for various general manager vacancies, including (2020) for the Houston Texans and Detroit Lions,[10] (2022) for the Pittsburgh Steelers,[11] and (2024) for the New York Jets.[12]
Guess he doesn’t count.

JD5 learned how to read a defense in college to go with his poise and physical skills. Plus he has Kliff to develop him now
Williams cant read a defense to save his life and plays backyard football too much to be successful long term. Chicago was a mess before and they are still a mess now
JD5 is like Lamar Jackson, but a much better thrower. Defenders rarely get straight shots on LJ or JD5 because they are shifty but RG3 was a track guy who was straightline fast but not shifty and he took some terrible shots.

I mean JD has a tendency to get absolutely lit up, but to his credit he’s gotten up pretty much every time and avoided injury

They are certainly an unserious organization and I’m concerned that Caleb may be doomed no matter how talented he may be

Caleb was consensus number one, so definitely not only the bears
Your point stands as "consensus" means a general agreement which means most were just as wrong as the Bears.
But I'll add on Fields Yates (does mock drafts with Kiper) as another who stated Daniels was the better QB prospect in multiple podcasts. There was also a PFFer I heard say it too, but I can't remember his name. Bottom line, most misranked Caleb #1.
