I remember Rolle's recruitment. He talked about how important academics was. I rolled my eyes when he chose FSU. Glad I couldn't have been more wrong.

Alan Paige
Notre Dame - 1966 Consensus All-American & National Champion
1st Round Draft Pick
15 years in the NFL; 6-Time All Pro
Assistant Attorney General - State of Minnesota
Associate justice of the Minnesota Supreme Court
Not sure that I would place him among "the" greatest CF players, but to become both a state AG and state supreme court judgeship after such a decorated sports career is pretty good.

Good point. In '71, he actually was named both the NFL Defensive Player of the Year (the first player to be named such) and the NFL Most Valuable Player. Only one other defensive player, Lawrence Taylor, has ever received the award.
Are we good?

Not a great CFB player, but for things done outside...well Pilgrim.
