Who are the 5 best NFL defensive players of the last 30 years?

With all this Aaron Donald talk as best ever, who do you think are the 5 best defensive players in the NFL since 1990?
My List:
1. Aaron Donald
2. Reggie White
3. Darrelle Revis
4. Ed Reed
5. Brian Urlacher
Charles Woodson would be my immediate next-up.
JJ Watt, Derrick Thomas, Rod Woodson, and Deion would probably fill out my top 10.

Ray Lewis should be on the list. Lawrence Taylor, Bruce Smith (they may be outside 30 years though)

I mean, he’s arguably the greatest linebacker of all time, so I think he deserves a spot on the best defensive players of the last thirty years list.

I’d have Patrick Willis ahead of Ray too.
Urlacher was legitimately good at everything, and might be the best play making LB in history (that wasn’t a pass rusher)

Freeney’s peak was great & I considered him for this list.
But also looked at Julius Peppers. Who’s longevity & production was insane compared to say, Freeney.

2000 Ray Lewis might be the most dominant year I've ever seen.

Luke Kuechly was also pretty damn good. Unfortunately, he retired early.

I purposely cut the list off at 1990 so people wouldn’t include LT. I just caught the tail end of him. He had 28 sacks in the 90’s. He can’t be on the list

Reggie White, arguably GOAT DL ever

The 30 year time window is kind of awkward because it cuts the career of Lawrence Taylor, Reggie White and Deion in half and I think those three guys would be on most people's all time list. You could throw in guys like Bruce Smith, Ronnie Lott and Derrick Thomas as well. A 40 year list would look much different than a 25 year list.

This is a fair assessment. Was just bringing him into the conversation. To me, Ed Reed may be the overall #1 in this survey.

Champ Bailey was nowhere near the DB Rod Woodson was. People forget how great he was in man and then he goes to Baltimore and completely remakes his game to become a Safety who would hit. Then goes to LA/Oakland and still is a top flight DB
If Sean Taylor does not get murdered we are talking about him in ways we discuss Ed Reed. Probably was better than Reed in the end

Deion was a rookie in 89' as was Derrick Thomas, so most of his career was in the 90's.
Reggie White had 111 sacks in the 90s, he aged very well.
