College basketball in general & SEC officiating in all sports. It is illegal to play defense in basketball. Top defenders from the past would foul out or be playing limited minutes with the way games are called now.

I agree that basketball is the answer, but since it hasn't been brought up yet I'll say that missed balls and strikes have an ENORMOUS impact on a baseball game. And at 300 or so itches a game, you are guaranteed for it to happen at least a few times, all with major impact.

FIFA refs are the best in soccer. Now the MLS refs that aren't Fifa approved are batshit awful

refs might have some bias but if you watched a Pac-12 season you would know they are simply incompetent. Which !makes late night pac games games a total entertaining farce.

As horrible as SEC refs are, Pac 12 and ACC refs are actually way more incompetent. They're not only blind, but they don't even have much of a grasp on the actual rules of football.

But my answer to the OP is CBB.

No, I'm talking about after each play. Some refs get the spot close, but for the majority it usually off.

Put a chip on the nose of each ball, and use laser technology. It can be done, and they can afford it.

I have really soured on basketball in general as the game is dictated so much by officiating. But, at least you have trained pros in the NBA. Watching weekend warriors officiating college games is maddening. I always tell my Mich St. friends that they will go far as officiating allows them. When refs let an Izzo team play aggressive defense they win. When they get Duked, they lose.

Without a doubt it has to be college basketball. They can take over a game. Refs can be calling a game one way then in the last 5 minutes shift completely. Crews vary tremendously in the way they call games as well

If you watch multiple sports and think there's an answer to this question other than college basketball, I feel sorry for you. There isn't even a close second.

This is one of the few times that "and it aint even close" is applicable.

Tie between basketball and football, both college and pro. All of those referees are awful and they should be completely ashamed.

i was coming in to say this

but i could get on board with CBB. i simply don't watch enough of it

basketball is just incredibly hard to judge due to the absolute freak shows populating the court

soccer is really difficult due to the low # of refs, massive field, and huge ramifications. a red card is the most powerful penalty in major sports and a PK decision may be #2. so much power without enough men on the field

College basketball followed by CONCACAF.

NBA isn't good, but there are at least a few decent crews.

Basketball...not a coincidence that it is also the hardest sport to officiate.

I've noticed the attention whores in every single sport (Crawford, Hoch, West/Hernandez, Ritter) are all fricking awful.

The NBA is the hardest sport to officiate. It's the NFL.

If NBA refs called carrying consistently, it would be a much different looking game than it is now.

College basketball is unwatchable thanks to the refereeing

They spend november/December stressing the "points of emphasis" then by January they've just gone full retard
