Feel like Arizona would.
Nah, Arizona is pretty prideful. The block A, Bear Down, red and blue, I don't see us giving that up.
ASU rebranded a few years ago for a lot less than 500 mil, but I wouldn't see is giving up quite that easily.

Stanford could be anything new and they'd still be Stanford. I don't think anyone would be up in arms if they changed their unis and stupid mascot.
I think the school/alums definitely would

And those are usually "smart" schools. Which is why Rutgers is also a good example. Scarlett Knights? Who is holding that dear to their hearts but alums?
Rutgers is by no means a “smart school” nor is it a school that is held in the same regard as Stanford
Rutgers has an alumni base that just doesn’t care
Stanford alums may not care about football (especially not like we do) but they would definitely care about the whole university/AD being rebranded and no longer being the Stanford Cardinal
Especially when they are consistently a player in all the other sports that aren’t MBB of CFB

Yea the block A is a pretty symbolic logo
Especially because of their basketball program

We are the gamecocks
We’re the only one in FBS
Although the school (not AD) already did It
We have rebranded as UofSC
And the reason you haven’t heard it?
Because we are a little podunk school in Columbia SC

We definitely would've done it when Jeremy Foley was still in charge.

Of those, I’d say Rutgers.
Pitt has a very rich athletic history, it’s just a bit dated. Their return to the throwback logos is much better than their visual identity when Larry Fitzgerald was there.
I always thought Wake Forest had a bland ‘WF’ logo, but the colors and mascot are pretty sweet.

For a p5 athletics program, Miami is pretty dang cheap.
I think they would strongly consider the money

Ole Miss. They are the Rebels, but had a black bear mascot and now some landshark. Maybe with a rebrand they will have a mascot that goes with the team name

That ASU rebrand is absolutely terrible too.

My only regret is I didn’t make the 1st page.

That article you linked has nothing to do with rebranding.
Athletic Department, not Athletic Director.

Quite few schools, including Florida, rebrand temporarily for a lot less than $500 million.
