you asked if a regional baseball game would get higher ratings than a nationally televised NFL game. nfl games are the most watching things on all of television.

No Fox is showing the Braves game on national TV, the NFL game isn't even on basic cable.

NFL Network. Don't think it's on a network station.

Fox is also airing regional matchups so the entire country won’t even be getting the Braves game. For example, most of California will probably be getting the Dodgers/Orioles game on Fox.

Braves/Phillies is on big FOX and NFL game is NFLN only.

It will probably be pretty close. Last 2 years NFLN only games have mostly been between 3 and 7 million viewers, usually closer to 3, although last year the first NFLN game of the year did very well.

This is FOX's first regular season weeknight MLB game in several years.

They are getting 3.5 mil or so on regular weeknight Thursday night programming.

Only week night game they've shown was the All Star Game which got 6 million viewers.

My guess is NFL wins but it will be somewhat close.

Wasn't sure about regional matchups, went to a couple sites and it kept showing Braves/Phillies (must be due to my location)

While the Chicago Bears failed to impress in their season opener against the Green Bay Packers, the ratings for Thursday night’s game were another story.

Thursday’s NFL Kickoff Game delivered a 15.3 overnight rating, which is up 14 percent from last season. It was the league’s highest-rated NFL Kickoff Game since 2016 and the best for any sporting event since Super Bowl LII.

People were evidently hungry for some NFL football

one of these is regular season games featuring crappy teams:

one of these is the championship series of that sport:
quote:

The Nielsen-measured audience averaged 14.3 million viewers (8.7 HH RTG), up +3% versus the 2017 (vs. 13.8 million viewers; 8.4 HH RTG).

quote:

large-market teams averaged an 8.3 rating Nielsen said Tuesday. That was down from a 10.7 rating last year and 40 percent from 23,386,000 average viewers two years

we will discuss this no more

Didn't know this. At&t and DirecTV don't even have NFLN right now.
