Aren't the good players recruited?

If the kid is good enough to go to a good college program it won't matter. It would be better to go to a good highschool academically.

I played at Parkview. Great experience. Great program with a great coaching staff. The program offers great exposure and has sent many players to play at the D1 level.
I've got former teammates that are in Vet, Med, or Dental school that would probably disagree with this statement.
It's all about what the individual takes away from the opportunity they are given.

After Weiner.. it is Sid Edwards... you will be in good hands for football.
No way he leaves Central!

your son better be 1st string or he won't be playing AT ALL...plus with Weiner coaching until he dies - he like picking favorites
every coach picks "favorites", they are the ones with the right attitude and ability.
that's why they played over you.

Zachary High because they have a good school and they finally moved into the 21st century and left the triple option offense behind when Weiner's son became head coach

Redemptorist is similar to Parkview, and I highly question its ability to get kids prepared for college. However, my son would be pushed athletically at RHS
your son would get a quality education at RHS equal to catholic or pbs. dont know why you would question the schools ability to prepare him for college.

Well some guys got the bad end of things..some guys that deserved to play more didn't get enough pt, some guys got too much PT and there play never suggested that they should keep or lose their job, and other guys just thought they were alot better than they actually were
But thats the case with every team.
2008? Yall really stunk it up that year. That '06 team made yall look pretty good!
Like I said, I played golf. I could have cared less what the football team did...
...I didn't play a full state tournament until my senior year...even though I qualified as a freshman
Good school, but so political its

Did the same here.
Episcopal doesn't necessarily end up with the best talent due to the cost and academic standards, which make it harder for someone to get eligible for TOPS if they're a marginal student, but they tend to be well-coached and play hard.
That's why the team went from several years in a row of losing all of their games to being a surprise entrant in the 2A semifinals as about seed 27 or 28.
That 2A district they're in is usually one of the more competitive ones in the state, which makes them all better come the playoffs.

Among all the schools you named, UHigh and Catholic have put athletes that have done more in football at the D1 level..at least recently. And ironically they all went to what most would consider, the brain schools of their conferences:
UHigh: Anothny Kimble (Stanford)
Catholic: Brandon Harrison (Stanford), and Chris Williams (Vandy), Jeremy Stewart (Stanford)
RHS did have Johnell Neal who went to UCF...and funny, his Coach was Sid Edwards.
If you go to RHS you are destined to play at Southeastern. Its almost like a birth right. Remember Jay Lucas? Such high hopes...A&M for a year..back to Southeastern.
