You can define “all time great” how you wish, but I was thinking top 10-12 which can vary of course.

Consider postseason success and stats.

Goes back to the old conversation does the QB make the Wr or Wr make the QB? And yes, consider in today’s game, not just WRs catch the ball.

Tom won with mostly scrubs his whole career. Just look what he did when he had Moss.

But didn’t Tom play with the GOAT TE? And set records with a top 5 WR of all time? Plus guys catching the ball out the backfield his entire career?

Drew Bree’s’ first pro bowl WR was Michael Thomas in 2017. That’s something for sure.

Didn’t hurt to have Reggie Bush and Kamara catching passes out the backfield. Plus an all-pro TE for a few years and a few 1st rd draft picks at WR

He had Gronk for a few years. Moss for pretty much one year.

Meanwhile, Montana and Manning had all world talent around them their whole careers.

Bush was solid but never made any all pro or pro bowl teams. And Drew 1000% made Jimmy Graham, just look at his post New Orleans career.

Brees made hay with a whole bunch of hay round and UDFA guys

College, it's definitely Cam considering none of his weapons were even drafted.

Why? It’s been bastardized but it generally gives you an idea of who the top players are most of the time.

I love Lance Moore but you’re not going to convince me he was a a high end player. Brees and the saints offense made him into the weapon that he was.

I hate to say this because I’m not a fan of his, but Aaron Rodgers has not had great weapons for chunks of his career. Brees definitely qualifies, too. He had some very good players but only two great ones in Thomas and AK. Graham was great for a while but As one poster pointed out, it looks like Brees did a ton to make him that way.

Here’s an older QB who recently made the HOF who may have been a little overrated when you consider his weapons: stabler had two all timers at receiver in Cliff Branch and Fred Belitnikoff, and then his TE Dave Casper was perhaps the best in the league. No way you could afford all those guys today past first contact.

Marino is an odd one. He had GREAT weapons early with Duper and Clayton but then not much later in his career.

Rodgers had:
Donald
Jennings
Nelson
Finley
Adams

In recent years, it's been just Adams. But early on he had some good wr's
