Gotta wait and see how he does over the last 4 events. I'm gonna go with 2nd as of now. Byron Nelson's 1945 was unreal, but it helped a lot that everyone else was serving in the military.

Hogan won 3 majors in the early 50's i believe. That has to be up there as well.

Probably somewhere around 8th, if you include great years by female golfers ...

Hogan won the only two majors he entered in '51, two years after his car crash ... Annie went 1,1,2,7 in '60 and won 8 times .... Does spieth's 4th in the open outrank Arnie's 8-4 win total? ...
