All three will opt out of their contracts with the Heat, and then re-sign with another slight pay cut.
I'm really not at all sure if Arison is willing to foot the bill for that.

He mentioned before about how much money he loses owning the Heat and that there is a limit on how much he's willing to lose.

The team is making money currently. There are lots of ancillary benefits to owning the best team in the league that aren't quantifiable through net profits. I seriously doubt Mickey is going to throw it away because the team is technically losing money, unless the team is WAY in the red. Plus, the team's new TV deal is around 80-100m a year. That's 4x what the old TV deal was. I'd venture to guess they're in a lot better financial position than he's let on in the past. Were the comments made prior/during the lockout?

At the time of his decision Chicago was absolutely in the discussion for him as a landing spot. I felt like Lebron in Chicago would've been deadly. I know Chicago fans would've gladly taken him in at the time.

I know they don't like the guy now, and I'm sure a lot of that has to do with their match ups and bit of a rivalry going on. They also can't stand people mentioning anyone in the same breath as Jordan, which many tend to do with Lebron.
DING! DING! DING! we have a winner!

Earlier this season on Lebatard's radio show.

I think the amounts the big 3 will command, even slightly below max money will put them wayyyyyy into the expensive, new luxury tax.

It will be interesting.

They pay 40% of the profit over $14m. So basically they pay nothing. Last year their arena revenue was like 50 million and losses like 30m, and they ended up not paying the county anything. They've got great accountants.

I figure they'll take deals that will pay them roughly what they're making now. People around the team continue to talk about a 10 year run. I really don't think they'd be making those statements, if Mickey wasn't on board with the theory.

BOOM and CORRECT. Bron will NEVER win a title without a player like Wade..............

The Heat have an excellent record without Wade. Wade, however, will never win another championship without a player like Lebron.

Yep, I definitely thought Chicago would've been a great option at that time.

Where he goes, all these stupid bandwagon fans will go. Try and like a team or city, not a player. Jackasses

Like I said previously, I hope he stays in Miami.

I like Spo and I know that Pat WILL put players around him long term.

He will stay in miami. He doesnt need any more money and you can tell that they all truly enjoy playing together. With the way they are playing together why would he go anywhere else?

I love Spo as a coach

Spo has gotten much better as a HC.

But he had a big part in blowing that fricking finals against the Mavs. Its easy to just blame LeBron. But they NEVER ran a pick and roll of Wade/LeBron. He had NO answers for the zone and he turned the best player in the world into a stand in the corner and watch Wade dribble at the top of the key player. Yes LeBron deserves blame for his brain fart in the finals. Yes he probably "froze up" a bit. But the narrative that first year should have been "Wade wins the finals for LeBron" not "LeBron loses the finals". If Spo had coached better, run plays where LeBron cuts to the hoop and looks to get a quick basket.....the Heat win that series.

It became even more clear Spo blew that finals the next year. Because the VERY same plays I said Spo never runs.....he ran them the following year. So he knew he fricked up. The good thing about LeBron losing that finals is that it made him come back hungrier.
