There is no arguing. I actually looked up the field dimensions and applied them to where she kicked it from, and where it landed. Both spots were by a line so it was easy.

47 yards, so you win the split difference by a couple.

Eta
I'm guessing you're giving the center circle a 20 yard diameter instead of 10.

It could be ~45 yards as there is a 5 yard range for soccer fields (115-120) but I don't care enough to look up the actual dimensions of Vandys field.

Center circle is 10 yds. I am guessing these baws are thinking a soccer field is 100 yds.

I did re-check the math and it is aboot 52 yds. in the air. The field is 131. The box is 18 and the circle is 10.

Field dimensions.

No soccer field is 131 yards.

Max is 120x80.

I added a link to official dimensions. It is possible that she was playing on a field that is 60 yds long.

Highly doubt it. I'm sure sec has some set rules for fields.

Ncaa set dimensions

I dont care if thunder thighs dribbled the ball 15 yards on a kick off NEARLY as much as I care about the sentiment of catering to the mob.

The fact that Vandy did it in a mostly empty stadium tells me that they're at least slightly ahead of the mob-curve.

The problem with the shite is that I wouldn’t have the slightest problem if she could actually kick the damn football as good as her male counterparts.

If she would have boomed it out the back of the end zone, and could kick a 40 yard field goal we would all agree that it was the right decision to give the scholarship. The problem is that she failed miserably and yet people praise her for failing. That is what is wrong with this country.

Without arguing field dimensions, spot of kick, where it landed or taking in wind conditions. I’ll keep it short......was it “nearly full field”?????? No it at best was NEARLY HALF FIELD which it wasn’t even that.

about half of a college soccer field is 55 yards

I am thinking just the opposite knowing they are bringing her back this week. I think he probably pitched a fit about it and they told him to walk.

I loved the Twitter video she posted and that has been shared by numerous news outlets. Of “an amazing full field assist” in soccer. Knowing soccer unlike 90% of Americans she literally kicked the ball about 30 yards. But there is no fake news right????

Remember when Mo Isom (former LSU goalie) scored a goal?

LSU Soccer Goalkeeper Mo Isom Scores from 90 Yards Out!!!

And then she tried out for the football team legitimately and didn't make it.

SBNation

quote:

The kicker had tried out in the spring during a three-day tryout where she impressed by making several 50-yard field goals and performing well on kickoffs yet was left off the spring roster. Coach Les Miles stated that she would have to overcome a lack of experience playing actual football to earn a spot as she'd be expected to make tackles down field on kickoffs, something the coach said he wasn't sure she was ready for at the time.

There had to have been someone on the campus that could make a field goal/ kick a touchback. I mean I kicked 1 year in HS and could make up to 58 and hit touchbacks. Im sure there was some rich white boys, especially at Vanderbilt of all places, that wanted to be a kicker that would be much better than that
