To 'surpass' a team you a.) have to have a better record. b.) do it in a year where the head coach is actually, you know...coaching.

Carolina's best coach left for Cleveland and their QB hasn't won one meaningful game in the pros.

It's all on Cam and Rivera for 2013. And Steve Smith isn't getting any younger.

Panthers 7-9 and 2-0 against Saints
Saints 7-9 and 0-2 against Panthers

How you can laugh at the Panthers being better in one season is beyond me. The Panthers surpasses the Saints. That doesn't mean that will stay true for a number of years.

Even record, tie breaker being Pathers 2-0 H2H.

I don't disagree, but a lot of people will and think you're trolling.

They have enough. Inside the redone newton does not throw to them. He runs or throws to Olsen. The former more than the latter

The saints are better than the panthers. This is a classic case of its not who you play it's when you play them. We played them at the beginning of the year when things were in such disarray and at the end of the year when we had nothing to play for.

Saints could not stop the Panthers running game this past year. Cam Newton had little to do with why the Panthers swept the Saints, especially in the season finale.

if the Saints go out and upgrade their OLB's, they will be better off. Carolina had little trouble running to the outside vs. Saints. Atlanta has no running game; the Bucs have a good back in Doug Martin. And I'll bet the Panthers will cut one of those running backs loose this offseason.

Your obsession with the Saints is downright disturbing. Can I assume you have at least one restraining order against you?

You don't engage in meaningful conversation. You only attempt to troll. Are you really surprised that troll attempts are meet with insults?

To answer the part of the OP that is not a troll, next year. Congrats on your dream season so far, even though you split the series with our coachless team and horrid defense. Your team is fortunate that Roger Goodell gift-wrapped the division for you this season.

We will win the division with our coach back after the injustice that was this season. We will strike the NFL with a vengeance never before inflicted by a club on other clubs. We will play every game with a Confederate money bounty on every player on the opposing team. The Falcons will be swept as usual. Prepare yourself for getting back to reality next year.

He's trolling hard, but as a Saints' fan, it's fun to read because: 1) there's not enough Falcon's trolls on here to make the rivalry fun here, and 2) he's scared for tomorrow like all two other Falcons' fans that I know.

Seattle 31
Falcons 3

Super Bowls:
New Orleans 1
Atlanta 0
