When Will the NHL Address the Issues With the Coyotes and Panthers Franchises?

Now that the NHL has awarded the city of Seattle with an expansion franchise, it got me thinking, when will the NHL finally address the two biggest failures in all of pro sports...the Florida Panthers and the Arizona Coyotes? Neither of these franchises have any fan support. Why isn't the league encouraging the relocation of these two franchises? Cities like Quebec, Salt Lake City, Milwaukee, Louisville, Saskatchewan...Hell even a city like Anchorage would support the team better than Phoenix or Miami. I just don't get it? The NHL has been experiencing great growth and ratings over the last 5-10 years despite the fact that 2 of its franchises draw less than minor league teams. Fixing this problem would be great for everyone involved.
Quebec has a new arena (2015)

The Coyotes GM just quit because of issues with the owner. Right before the playoffs lol.

I saw that...it's crazy this franchise is still in Arizona. Do the citizen even know they have a team?

They’re also totally separated from downtown. They’re next to the cardinals stadium. The nfl can get away with that but I don’t really see how the nhl can in a place like Arizona.

I was in Phoenix for a couple months in November/December a few years ago and had more conversations with people about Grand Canyon basketball than the Coyotes. Never heard a single Coyotes reference from anybody even in passing.

One team moves and stays in the East...let the Coyotes explore moving somewhere else that keeps them in the West. I think Salt Lake City would be a good fit. Natural rivals with Colorado. Either that or Saskatchewan...don't laugh, they would support that team hardcore!

I was reading a Coyotes article the other day, and in the comments a guy was talking about how the arena is on the opposite side of the city as all of the smaller hockey/ice centers. Apparently traffic to the arena on weeknights is awful, so most people won't drive the hour and a half to two hours on a weeknight for a game.
I definitely think they've outlived their welcome in Phoenix. Salt Lake City seems like it would be a natural hockey city.

I find it absolutely crazy that the NHL has more teams than the MLB and NBA.

Regina i would think...but they would have to draw from both. But lets be honest...Canadians are psycho about Hockey!

The Islanders have had worse attendance than Arizona and Florida.
Florida's attendance is fine whenever they can get anywhere close to the playoffs. Get them a better front office and they'll be fine.

I personally find it crazy that the state of Wisconsin doesn't have an NHL team. For a state that takes Hockey that serious and doesn't have an NHL franchise is a head scratcher. Could Milwaukee or Green Bay ever pursue a franchise?

I just dont trust Utah with any other pro sport team.
Give me 1 Quebec 2 Milwaukee 3 Portland

Halifax> Hartford. But both would work

Why not Houston? The Toyota Center is rigged for ice hockey and it’s downtown in a much bigger metropolitan area than Phoenix.

houston doesnt even support the rockets all that well for how good they have been the last 5 years. dont see why we can trust houston to support hockey

If the OT is to be believed, Baton Rouge would support an NHL team easily
According to them, the only event better attended than a Kingfish minor league hockey game was Billy Cannon’s run.
