I went to a game at Wrigley last month and it was weird how their fans all act like they’re a contender. I wasn’t entirely sure if they’re delusional or just so fair weather they don’t actually know that they suck now.

Definitely don’t know they suck. They know they finally won the World Series a few years ago so they figure they are still good. These people know absolutely nothing about baseball, just go there to drink and be social.

I kinda thought that's what Rossi was doing when he pulled Wick for Morgan, but it worked out for the win - I'd just as soon win one every now and then.
Cub fans get a lot of hate - and that's part of sport and fandom - but they are tanking this year and on a 12-game losing streak and there were at least 3,000 Cub fans in the stands in Cincy for a mid-week game.
