Coronavirus - as a family viral strain - isn't going anywhere. It's already evolving and mutating. Not to mention this is Covid 19. We will have Covid 20, 21, etc. It's just too widely dispersed in the global population (thanks, China).
We're going to have to live with it in some form. We can whack-a-mole Ebola whenever a few rare cases pop up. But this is the new influenza.

I don’t care what side of the political spectrum you’re on, but good lord some of these comments are just downright awful.
You don't like the message so you pretend it doesn't exist.

To be honest, I don’t know if stadiums will be full anytime soon. I think the PC culture that’s running rampant in sports, coupled with the pandemic, made millions of Americans take a step back and think about how important sports really are. Millions of people realized that they didn’t miss sports nearly as much as they thought they would...including myself. Sports just lost a lot of luster over the last year. I truly belive sports in this country are going to go through a very rough stretch financially because of that realization.

You just made a statement that stadiums are never going back to being normal at full capacity. I mean, think about this for a second. You said never. Not 1-2 years from now. You said never. Why on earth would you be compelled to believe that?

ok. never is too long of a time. Congrats. My point stands.
Government has gained unbelievable power over the last year and will not easily give it up. I don't see a time in the future when it does. The best opportunity for stadiums to return to capacity is when the government finds a better/different way to control the population.
Bottom line is we will never go back to the way things were.

You honestly think politicians have such a control boner right now that they'd continue to intentionally hurt their cities and their people in perpetuity even after the virus is under control with a working vaccine? What sane person can reason that in their brain to make any sense? What politician would stand a chance in reelection when their constituents are easily able to stay informed about infection rates and vaccine efficacy? You think the entire world is gonna do the same shite? And if not, that Americans will see everyone else around them getting back to normal and just accept that they aren't allowed to? Use your fricking brain man. I can't imagine being as miserable as you. Find some fun hobbies that don't involve the internet.

Absolutely yes

Then you are unable to be reasoned with. Hope you don't pout too hard when people start having fun around you.

If you think Politicians care about the people, you are sadly mistaken. They care about one thing and one thing only and that is power.

Did you just come out of a 10+ month coma?

I don't disagree with that at all. Keeping your city in a perpetual lockdown state when there is no longer a reason isn't typical politician power though, it's literal insanity. Thankfully this country is functional enough that we are allowed to take power from those people if we deem them unfit. There isn't a single place in the USA that will stand for that. Eventually, despite what you may believe, people on the left will be fighting for a return to normalcy.

The vaccine has been around for 10+ months? I was unaware.

Football will be back to normal I think, you'll just be required to have been vaccinated to be able to attend.
Baseball I could see maybe June?
I think they will all require proof of vaccination.

Literally everything you’re saying cannot possibly happen has happened for the last 10+ months.
Politicians have continued to hurt their cities and constituents in perpetuity with no signs of stopping anytime soon.
People have been informed about a virus with a 99+% survival rate yet all of these politicians enacting these policies remain in power.
The entire world is doing the same shite.
You’re pinning all your hopes on a vaccine the “experts” have already said will not mean the end of restrictions in place, may or may not be effective against new strains of the virus, and a significant number of people have no intention of getting anytime soon.
And you think people that have doubts about the politicians willfully relinquishing the power they’ve given themselves are the non-rational, crazy ones?
